Lauren … obesity is a disease. If you were taking meds for high BP and your BP was managed, would you stop taking the meds? What would happen? Your BP would go back up. These meds are treating a disease within your body. Not sure getting off it, entirely, is the best route either. Until we know more … zero shame! You are treating a disease.

Use this as a way to learn how to cope with “food noise”. Eating healthy choices. I’ve heard of people fasting when this happens. The goal is to have to not depend on medication to control “food noise” but rather learn to cope with it because everyone has this noise and will always have it…it’s normal.

Don't feel shame! I'm 39 and I'm down 80lbs since November with the help of Mounjaro. I've been on 7.5 since January and I can slowly feel the food noise coming back and iv been snacking more. The fact that I can't eat much has saved me. I am going up soon to 10 mg because I know I need this medication. I was diagnosed with OSFED in 2022 which is a combo of 2 eating disorders and I see now I need help. Just like any other medication to help a disorder that's what glp1 is. This medication is evolutionary if you think about it. People have been struggling since the beginning of time because of ED, insulin resistance, hormone deficiencies, addictive behaviors and finally there is something for us. If you had anything else you had asthma you wouldn't feel shame for needing an inhaler to keep you well this is the same thing. I have been bouncing between 300-330 for years I am 250 never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd get here. Your journey inspired me to ask about Mounjaro you have helped so many people be proud of yourself and your accomplishments. Congratulations 🎉

Hi Lauren, What is the type of medication you are taking that has helped you overcome some of the things that were not enabling you to lose the weight you wanted? I've never heard of these shots however I'm very interested as since I watched you last I am now very ill I have chronic illnesses chronic pain and I'm basically disabled. I have a service dog and it's just a total shock that I would ever find myself in this position and it's been for years now I gained a lot of weight and I want to lose it because having the weight on as you know makes life so much more difficult to simply roll in your bed. Can you please tell me Lauren what is the name of these type of medications and why did you pick the one that you decided on? As I said in my last comment to you I haven't seen you in so long and I'm so absolutely sorry regarding your house burning to the ground I can't even imagine not at all. Thank God your family is safe and your dog is safe. Well that was one hell of a wake up call wow unbelievable. Last time I was watching John had his own channel skinny jeans. Lauren I have a very big interest in autism I would like to ask you Do you have any thoughts or feelings or opinions on why both of your children have autism? I'm really glad that I'm resubscribed to your videos so I can watch them all.

Actually the newest sude afftects from oozempic is that it is making people stop using alcohol and cigarettes both. Reducing heart attacks and heart disease in women by 20% and helping with liver disease. They are running trials now for the alcohol cessation. Ya i don't want any alcohol at all now. It just doesn't taste good anymore.

Why are you apologizing! It's what happens. I have been doing every 10 days and I'm going to go back to weekly starting in August. I can tell the food noise is creeping back in as is my love for carbs. I still need to lose another 15 lbs and have been plateaued for a couple of months. So I noticed if I drop back on the dose a bit for about 4 weeks and the start back on my regular dose it kind of kick-starts me again. Yes I think we will need to take it for the rest of our lives. Our home that GLP 1 regulates just doesn't work. They are working on an oral version that could be taken daily. There is one already but the absorption is not as good. It's just better to realize that it's something that you need to stay healthy. If you had to take insulin forever then you have to. This is kinda like that. No shame. It helps you stay healthy. It's not the easy way by any means. If you have Hulu the is an Oprah show that was on recently. It's called Stop the Shame and stop the Blame. You should watch it. She has felt sham and blame her whole life. What a horrible way to have to live. She explains how it works. We have to stop blaming each other. You might try your insurance again. Wegovy is the same thing as Ozempic it's used for weight loss and Ozempic is for type 2 diabetes. Also my daughters insurance is not that great and she talked to her doc about a compounding pharmacy. We found one that here in town that will do the 8mg 3ml for 190.00 a month after trying the internet which is exactly what they do. It just cuts out the middleman. Just have your doctor send them the script. It's just going to be the way it is. Eventually the price will come down and it will become normal to get the help we need. Weight Watchers and Noom are now using Mounjaro and Ozempic now so why make things so difficult. I just read today that Medicaid is now going to start paying for weight loss meds. It will eventually reduce dependence on Insulin because people won't need to use insulin after they lose weight

Lauren never feel embarrassed, ashamed or feel like you need to make excuses for taking steps to help yourself on your weight loss journey. I went to Mexico 10 years ago and had weight loss surgery. While many thinks it’s the easy way out I wonder if there was a surgery to help those to stop smoking they’d feel the same way? In order to keep off the 120lbs I lost I have to watch everything I eat (Keto/Carnivore), walk 4 to 5 miles a day, year round in 20 below temps to 100 in summer. It’s never been the “easy way out” and at 65 I really don’t give a rats arse what others think!

The trials are showing many more benefits than obesity and diabetes! It may end up being added to the water girl!! There are GLP1 receptors in EVERY organ of our bodies and theses peptides (amino acids) are regenerative to every organ in our bodies!!! Helping with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s….in and in the list grows

There is nothing wrong with needing the shot or feeling you need the shot and I feel like as much as you over explain why your taking the shot and emphasize a few times how you have been "naturally" losing since April or haven't needed it since April etc puts the bad stigma on the shot that all of us with obesity disease or metabolic disorders are trging to squash.... Your food noise will come back that's just how it goes if you need a shot to control it there's nothing wrong with it and explaining it to us so many times like your justifying why to take it just doesn't seem like your ok with it and your trying to convince yourself that your not bad for taking it.... Starting the shot made me realize how the rest of the world lived in quiet without food noise it had literally changed my life because of my PCOS insulin resistance and obesity disease and I'm grateful and don't want anyone who watched this to feel shameful if they need it

if you have a glp-1/GIP deficiency, you are going to struggle when you are not taking the medication. So whatever "shame" you are feeling is PTSD from a lifetime of being told you are weak when you were actually metabolically out of balance. We don't shame cancer patients. We don't shame men with ED. We don't shame people with eczema. I commend you for soldiering since April without the medication. I don't know why you decided to go off the medication (side effects, budget, or whatever), but if you need to quiet the food noise (that is my arch enemy, I call it the rabid monkey in my brain) then GURL take the dang shot. The shame is not yours. Kick it to the curb. Stand in your power. You do you Boo! (Your hubby is wonderful, that's a blessing!) I personally plan on being on this medication until they lower me into my grave. I refuse to white knuckle my relationship with food. I have much better things to do. You are an inspiration and a joy to watch. ❤
