  mayoi's character development 😭😭😭😭😭 mayoi finding hope in his future rather than doubting he even deserves to live in the first place 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 im so ill. there's so many stories that establish how mayoi feared meeting other people and struggled adjusting to having people that love you and have expectations for you (like the story of his fs1 or dead end land where he felt like he wouldn't be able to live up to their expectations or even take a first step to doing so). and yet in phantom airship, his fs2, just generally he becomes more receptive to being loved, and having the courage to just try. hes always been associated with darkness, ghosts, demons, but even in the night sky, there are still stars and he's starting to find them.. 😭😭 hes met people who love him and that he loves back. he feels much more associated with stars and light in this song than he might be usually just as alkaloid as a whole is like 1:40 alkaloid has been so integral to his development just as he has been for theirs and it makes me feel so so ill im so glad he can finally find his light <3 my phone is lagging typing all this but ily mayo

  crazyb finding happiness in their freedom to be themselves even as a unit thats mostly been seen as antagonistic or alienated (haha) from the rest of ensquare in canon is so . oh my goodness. esp since they were all alienated or lost in their own ways before, with niki being left alone as just a child pretty much, rinne with his dreams of being idol despite the responsibilities that were put onto him, himeru and his feelings towards his mask as himeru/how he feels obligated to lock away his real self bc of his guilt, and ofc kohaku who was locked up his whole life and never got to see the outside or spend time with people besides his immediate family. 2:50 is sich a cute line it's nice knowing thhat they can embrace their status as misfits from the rest of society together.. foolish aliens... foolish like crazy.. aliens like. bees i guess. ily kohaku im so happy hes happier now 😭 and his vocal development!!! aaa!!!!!!

  This song is so meaningful that it makes me want to explode!!!! 0:21 - Mayoi and Tatsumi express how they would have given up in the past but refuse to now, having found each other. They’ve found the strength to preserve within each other. 0:39 - Despite their seemingly innocent personas upon initial meeting as "underachievers," they've guided each other to genuine happiness and a brighter future. 0:51 - Mayoi's lyric highlights his character development. He’s transformed from a gloomy, downcast individual to someone who looks up, filled with hope for what lies ahead, because his dreams have come true and he has everyone else’s wishes to look forward to. 1:00 - Tatsumi sings about persisting until the end of the road. Despite all the challenges, he has continued, now surrounded by people he loves in place of his previous isolation. 1:03 - This lyric captures Aira's journey perfectly. He reached out for his dreams of becoming an idol, leading him to his current place, even while facing difficulties. Aira’s perseverance is one that deserves admiration. 1:21 - Mayoi and Hiiro complete each other's lines here, emphasizing that without ALKALOID, they wouldn’t have found a place to belong. This resonates deeply with their stories: Mayoi, once isolated and feeling unworthy of belonging, and Hiiro, who was completely alone after his brother left, faulting himself. He also quite literally did not have a place to stay, to the point of even sleeping on a bench. ALKALOID provided them with a home and a place to shine, as if the unit itself was the sky for these wonderful stars. 1:31 - Aira references his card suit, hearts! 1:44 - This lyric actually translates to something like "You can be assured." Tatsumi might be saying that their mutual brilliance is as certain as the sky always being there whenever you look up to it. 1:52 - MAYOI AYASE😢😢😭😭 He truly wishes for others to succeed. He’s so kind, like a light shining upon this dark world. I adore him so much guys i am so sorry. 1:56 - Hiiro tries to reach everyone through his songs, even if he can’t properly convey his feelings through words, displaying his tender heart. 2:05 - This might reference Feather Touch, in which Aira pours out his feelings to Tatsumi. Although their experiences differ, Tatsumi understands Aira’s emotions well. 2:12 - Mayoi and Hiiro lead unique lives that reflect their feelings well. Mayoi used to hide in vents and leave notes on dancing techniques to help others despite his strong social anxiety, which is a direct display of his unyielding kindness and compassion for others. Hiiro often comes off very strongly to everyone he meets, showing his friendliness and loyalty. These traits aren’t immediately apparent in casual conversations due to their distinct personalities. 2:17 - They describe each other’s feelings as beautiful, rare, and fleeting like a shooting star in the night sky. The next section is a direct reference to Believe 4 Leaves. 2:21 - Choosing Hiiro and Aira for this lyric was emotionally devastating. That is blatantly not true, but it’s just the sheer extent of how much Mayoi loves them. 2:37 - This line, though just a bridge into the chorus, gains a deeper meaning when seen as continuations of Tatsumi’s previous sentiments. By believing strongly in the happiness of meeting others, he thinks that everyone’s wishes can become as real as the stars, as his own(wanting to have friends that stood by his side as an equal) came true. 2:45 - They connect and shine like a constellation, as if they are all stars!! 2:47 - Stars being born in the dark night parallels how ALKALOID was formed during their darkest times. Despite being on the brink of losing everything, they shone brighter by sharing their dreams and standing together. 2:49 - This line reflects reality beautifully. Stars shine brightest in the night, disappearing when the sun dawns, but this doesn’t make them any lesser. They simply illuminate the sky best when together.
