Thank you so much 🙏
Posted a long time ago. Yet was great fun today for me... plus I already no the lyrics... ;)😊
Very informative, straight forward and clear. Thank you for sharing the vid.
banger
Fantastic..
Nice!!
What tuning?
That typical rock and roll pattern where you add you little finger - you’re calling it a shuffle. That is not a shuffle. (although that pattern can be used in a shuffle). The shuffle is a specific rhythm. A dotted or triplet based rhythm. This song is a straight eight based rhythm - no part of this song is a shuffle.
wonderful instructor. Thank you! ❤
The verse is incorrect. It intersperses the run down with a cminor blues scale run up.
isnt it a e sus?
Great lesson! This song is always debated. I isloated the bass line by itself. The pick up lick at the beginning of the song is major not minor (like bluegrass) Up major, down minor . The rest is all minor. Also on the accent you metion with the vocal, the major third is there the first time, then minor up and down. Not sure if he is doing this on purpose. There is also syncopation going on in the verse on the A chord. The E is like a county bluegrass line the A is syncopated with a R&B feel ....
The chief problem with note choice in a modal tune is how to not get stuck on the inside notes and how to use the substitutions while still sounding musical.
Took me a day to get the first two parts done and then my E string cut open my calluses 😭
This was awesome. I have been playing for about 3 weeks, heard the song, and went looking for the Bass-line....and found your channel. It took a while to get the groove as I was confused about the actual notes were. String and fret I understood though. From there it was what kind of notes are you playing (quarters, halves, wholes). I think i have the bass-line down now, just need to work on timing. I may have the right groove, but when i listen to afterward, i am either early or late. Already subscribed and will be visiting your channel more often. Thank you!!
Solo pls.
Awesome tutorial. TYSM
What note is that at 1:14? 😂
It's worth pointing out that Flea and John probably knocked this out in a few minutes whilst jamming.
Nice job. We'll done. Thanks.
Thanks for the lesson but your guitar sounds a little out of tune.
A bit late but I subscribe!! Thank you
It’s amazing that 11 months ago you were the only one teaching this song. Now there’s about 9 teaching this song. I still think yours was & still the best tutorial. Easy to follow & well explained.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks for breaking it down on this baseline, I just started trying to learn the bass again and this is one of the first songs I want to learn and also enjoy the stuff on your channel boss🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I think you are confused about how to play the Alberti bass line...
Please do more “Point of View” tutorials. More instructors should.
6:36 That pause is the hardest thing to get in the whole song!
The Stratocaster is the only Surf guitar. It isn't palm muting. Its called edge muting
Did you ever do part 2?
Very helpful. Thanks.
Slideinto 12 1311 tab I got celtic blitzkrieg
Great job! Just a question for us that well...kind of stink at hybrid picking... why couldn't one simple use the E and A strings all the way up the neck, (in other words, after the first part that DOES just use the E and A strings, just keep moving up vs jumping to hybrid picking E and D strings? then for the last two beats before going into the A for the verse, do open E, open A, D 13th fret, G 11th fret beat one, then slide that down a full step beat 2, then to A. (I'm just having a heck of a time with the hybrid, especially jumping back into it at the end of the song!) What do you think?
how has henley not had this taken down?
It is beautiful, thank you ; I purchased the tab sheet, I printed , is it only one page ?
00:10 I feel you, man.
One minute in. Plays Pipeline wrong and appears to not be able to use vibrato correctly on chords. It's no rocket science
One thing I've noticed in surf guitar is sustained notes use very little vibrato unless it's done with the bar.
I would play it on flat-wound strings to eliminate the squeaks during the slides.

Your the best because you take it slow most teacher's on here are way to fast thank you
outstanding video
Why doesn't every guitar teacher use this angle.
Your a great guitar instructor and one thing that sets you apart in my book is how you have an overhead view of you playing on the fret board which makes it so much easierto see.
Thanks
