I was starting to think I'd lost my best supporter... Thanks for watching, and nice to see you back 😊
A once in a lifetime camp that. Brilliant video!!!
Ya not wrong mate.... If I'd not mustered the energy to go back to the ridge for the sunset I'd have never known and slept through it all.. lucky 👍
@@CanvasandPeaks sounds like it was meant to be
Brilliant video, stunning views and the aurora… amazing x
Just wish I'd figured out how to video the lights before going but then they weren't expected 🤪
Amazing, my favourite so far👍 Love the rants too😉

Thanks Indre... You need to get on a road trip up there 😉
Big fan of the thumbnail on this video. Great video with truly epic northern lights indeed. I love Claires little cameos throughout 😂
Thanks Tom, hopefully Claire will read this and get on the shot more. Nobody wants to just stare at my mug 🤪
19mins and still can't figure the trail name.... African Rail? 🤔
Legend! You'd think you could understand my gibberish after all this time... It's the Affric Kintail way
Another great watch 💯 - Some amazing views and the light show looked amazing! Be good too see a wee review of the BA copper spur
Cheers Pete, views are plentiful up there as you know 😉.. wasn't expecting the light show though.. I've never done gear reviews. Maybe you've inspired me 😜
Hi how are you? another 20 mn very nice to see , great moment ! Thanks for sharing , Laurent!🙂👍
Hi buddy, thanks for the speedy comment. I'm good thank you. How are you?
@@CanvasandPeaks Nice too thank you , seeing the end of the video, like it, great place! Here, many rain all the time , so quite for hiking !
@@Marche_Nco we've also had a lot of rain this year. But I suppose we are quite close geographically, so it will be similar
@@CanvasandPeaks This doesn't stop you from going on day hikes, which I did all winter and fall, but going on several days is more complicated! Thank you and see you soon!🙂

Enjoyed the vid mate...liking the B roll footage too! Hope all is is good with you guys x
Thanks both.... We're all good thanks. Not really used the MH for a while due to all these types of trips, but hoping to get back out soon. It's nice to see you're getting out again now... I hope you're both doing well 😁
Yeah, we are doing much better now thanks. We're hoping to do a lot more Off Grid this year. Glad you're all good too! x
What happens at camp stays at camp, get that single malt in that hot chocolate! Stuffed burgers looked ace, now wondering what the perfect thing to stuff in a burger would be.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, the more I think about it the more the whiskey will work. It's deffo happening next time. And now you've got me thinking what can be stuffed in a Burger too. Pulled pork.... Chilli con carne.... Kebab meat... Or do we go obscure?
Nice burgers 🍔
Thanks... They were pretty special, I've got a few tweaks to add to the recipe for next time. Thanks for taking the time to comment ☺️
Whiskey is always okay in hot choccy! 😊 burgers looked ace!
Then on the next trip it shall be so. Whiskey chocolate here I come 😀
Cracking video mate - Great watch 💯
Thanks Pete.... It's about time we sorted a trip 👍
Great video! 💥
Thanks for the feedback.. much appreciated 😃
The burgers look awesome Daz, keep up the good work 👍🏻
They were pretty special Rich... You still need to come on one of the trips 😉
Great video
Thanks buddy 😁
Good stuff. Me old mucka. # no morning has broken like the ......I will have to make up for it next time.
Indeed you will.
Another good one👍👍
Cheers Gazza. Always appreciated the feedback 😃
Hi, Great walk, especially with your dog. Did he pick up any ticks along the way? That’s the only thing putting me off taking my dog
Thanks for the comment.... Up to around Kingshouse we were having to de-tick him daily. We lost count at around 35. He's shorthaired though so easy to spot and he was up to date with vaccinations, so we had no issues from it. If anything, he enjoyed the attention
New sub first watch. Your brave lads as that weather was ……. Well wet. At least you finished in the pub. ATB 🍺🏕️👍
Thanks for the sub mate. I've just seen your message after listening to you talk about my local distillery at cromford on one of your videos. Maybe catch you in the hills some time 😊
@@CanvasandPeaks blimey that’s a coincidence and yes that really is a good distillery been a few times. Yes see you on the hill
Nice one Dazza🌧️🌧️🌧️⛺👍
Thanks Gazza... You would have loved it 😉
Great views 👀
Yes. If you squinted at a slight 20 degree leftward angle and waited till your eyes filled with tears you could see a unicorn flying over the Eye of Sauron.... In 3D. Just like the 90s illusion pictures
Another fun watch 👏what's not so fun is still drying out all your the equipment from your trip a week on🙃
No but it's worth it for the memories 😁
Like you whw with your GSP what month did you do it in as I am going to do the same with Jura my GSP and any tips please Rgds Ray McKee thank
Fantastic mate you will love it. It's a great experience especially with your furry best friend. We did it in May 2023. Everyone along the trail and all the food places made sure our dog was well spoilt with both treats and drinks if needed. Just be mindful of Juras paws on the last stretch to Fort William as it's long and mostly gravel track so could lead to sores etc. our boy was ok though.. please keep me posted and let me know how you get on... Good luck 💪 if you want any more info just shout up 😀
@@CanvasandPeaks thanks I will I have some boots that bought last year after she cut her pad badly so I will sneak them in her pack
Enjoyed the outdoor cookery program with some camping 😂 😊
Thanks Al... Gotta eat hearty food if you're out in the cold 😜

Yay! Kinder! I’ll catch some of your videos today ⛺️
I've got to catch up on yours too... Hope you enjoy 😁 thanks for the support
@@CanvasandPeaks and thank you for yours ☺️
Flippin brilliant 😊great video! I find bush craft and hammock camping so interesting. I’d love to try it one day, I’m a tent girl at mo ⛺️ thanks for subbing 👍🏻ATB, Sarah
Thanks for the feedback 😁 I love tents as much too but there's something special about a hammock in the woods. Not sure it beats a tent on a hilltop though.. I'm so conflicted hahaha
@@CanvasandPeaks woodland are my favourite places but so are the Peak District hills, can’t beat it, aren’t we lucky? I have. Feeling I wouldn’t make getting into a hammock look quite as graceful as ya mate 😂
That bloke in the Rab hat is well sexy
Must get it from his Dad. Ask his wife ;)
This is a quality watch 😂
Hi, I'm Ed Winchester
Brilliant 👍
Thanks buddy... You will likely make an appearance in the next one 😜
@@CanvasandPeaks can't wait 😂👍
Some great views on the way up! 😍 x
Deffo... Simpsons skies. Loved it
Looks like you had a laugh! If only we could start our adventures at 7:30 pm at this time of the year! 😁
Yes it was a great fun.... The long cold evenings in the tent are definitely the hardest part through these current winter months 🙂
09:14 is my fave part of this video
And to think I nearly edited that bit out
You boys look like you’re having fun! Some decent kit you’re using👍
Regressing to being teenagers.... What's not fun about that lol
Thank you for my shoutout (finally!!)❤ cracking watch 👏🌄
You're welcome little lady... A little bitdy told me it made you 😭
Wow what a rabble. Looks like crime watch re-enactment
Guess my fart? 🤣🤣
What did you do with your rucksack on day 3?
There are baggage transfer services that you can book on the day or in advance from place to place. We decided to not risk the weight on the Loch Lomond day from what we had heard about it.
Adventure a plenty. Good times. And a big thanks to Muna for the pick up juice.
We laughed a lot as usual... Just need to start planning the next one now 😜
He-man was better then thunder cats lol
@@mrcoolcool4363 you are not wrong, who didn't love he-man and Orco was always a favourite 😉
How much kit did you take for the pup. Are there places available for dog food?
He carried 3 days worth in his packs, with us carrying one for him. Then we had a parcel sent up and waiting for us on day 4 to restock. There are plenty of shops along the route but our dog has allergies so has to have his specific food
