wow, you have patience to repair this old machine, I myself had 3 laptops, attempted to fix them before but I decided to disassemble all of them for pieces, to me, laptops are too...specialized, unllike PC which can be modified freely, anyway great work and thumb up for you, subcribed before already!

I have the same laptop. The display got broken, after that touch also stopped working. I can source a new screen-digitizer but I don’t know that whether it is a 51 pin or a 61 pin. Please make a video on opening the display too. 🙏🙏

Hi, thanks for your video what is your motherboard model? is it a HM70 Express chipset or HM75 Express chipset ? I read that the HM70 express chipset could not support any I3, I5 and I7 CPU. It shut down after 30min.
It was a long time ago... but I didn't have the mentioned problem on that laptop. Shutdown after 30 minutes I had here kzread.info/dash/bejne/Yp-flI-ricrQiMo.html&ab_channel=NemanjaNedeljkovic and I was not able to solve the problem.

Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 are fully supported, not sure about Windows 11. Sorry for the late answer.
@@nemanjanedeljkovic5805it can because it bc it has a tpm but not sure if its the version for win 11 but you can bypass all these checks by registry tricks when booted into the install usb, im not going to go over how to do it bc im not 100% sure ill say it right but i think enderman has a video on it

I wash everything into the shower with soap and plenty of water, even the PSU. I dry them with hot air and let them several days to even more natural drying. Never had issues. They are 100% clean after that, no smell, nothing, 'brand new'.

Nope
I used to clean like this, now over the years to remove excess dust I use an air compressor, and to remove the remains of water from the circuits I also use the compressor, it's faster than using a hair dryer, and without the risk of overheat any heat-sensitive area. You removed the power supply box incorrectly, it opened as if we did it with a furniture drawer. Otherwise, perfect job.

Socket A "retro" shit is not even that old to be seen as retro... 😀 I've had full box if these shitty motherboards and I recycled them all. Now I have full box of socket 7 motherboards to test. Retro is something from longer past, like socket 7, 5, 3, some 386 computers or even older machines like IBM 5160 or so, but you feed youtube with these shitz. Only noob can consider this "retro".

I'm not 100% sure, as far as I remember that motherboard doesn't support Core 2 Duo CPUs...
