    No. You don't stop one small car length in front of you. You stop when you can just see the rear wheels, meet the road surface of the car in front of you.

    Some real dangerous teachings there. Not allowing a driver to exit a vehicle to ensure safety tells me everything as to why we have so many dangerous driving videos. Allowing someone to exit to check the vehicle is of paramount safety. Dangerous testing and developing a terrible driver mentality. Do better

    Flagstaff az is so screwed i failed twice so looked up a different method and this wont work either because theres 3 cones way out left of the box so you cant swing the tractor to the right like that at the beginning. I hate this town

    Whats the difference between parallel and off set backing?

  • @CDLInstructorSAGE
    @CDLInstructorSAGE21 күн бұрын

    That’s a great question, and it’s the same exact maneuver just the offset is less structured. Experienced drivers tend to like offset better, but students prefer the parallel. It’s funny because they are the same.

    Thank you very much for this video lesson. I passed parallel parking in Washington State, all that remains is to pass the city. The instructors at our school hardly taught us how to park, so I decided to find other lessons and it’s good that I found you. Thank you very much again.

    For a bus or truck w/ trailer? Bus, rear tire lined up with first cone, turn wheel,to right and back until you see the first cone on the left in the left convex mirror. Straighten the wheels and back to the cone until you can safely go around it, the third wheel to the left and back into the box. The reference points and maneuvers are similar to parallel parking the the passenger side. I’m sure the reference points for trucks are close to this.

    I’m currently in cdl school, extremely crappy trucks we’re using, but anyway, those 3 color lines on the side of the truck are genius and would definitely help me allot with this offset technique,I always over shoot the turn after aligning then turning the truck and trailer at 90… instead of the 45 degree turn that you should take, thanks allot…. Again this lines are great
