    I love this video so much! Thank for the spiritual encouragement at the end. If I told you how powerfully God spoke through you, you wouldn’t believe it. I was literally praying, “God, I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing with my nursing career or my purpose in life.” I’m going to study this verse. Thank you for this video, sister.

    The name of the game is making money. They want more money from you. Make sure you milk them for all the money they offer you (hopefully you negotiated in your favor), make the most amount of money the fastest in the field of nursing and hopefully you are financially disciplined enough to where you have placed yourself in a position to step out of healthcare and find something more suitable to whatever you deem as an "easy lifestyle." Good luck. It's chess, not checkers.

    New subscriber here! Thank you and may God continue to bless you, Harriet. Please keep it up. As a newly-minted FNP, I feel that this is an inadvertent ploy to slow down the entry of NPs into the workforce in the coming years. For some time now, statistics have shown that the projected number of nurse practitioners was expected to grow and close the gap that the physician shortage will cause. Well, with this news, I can see how many nurses may feel discouraged and deterred from pursuing an NP career because the goal post has just been moved back. This gap may widen.

    I’ve had some people say that PA’s need more clinical hours in their training than NPs, so aren’t they more qualified? Actually, NPs usually have many more clinical hours from their years of nursing experience before becoming an NP. While this is not universally applied to every NP or PA candidate, the nursing experience is invaluable for any NP!

    DNP seems to be more of an administrative degree rather than a clinical degree. I rather my NP have a higher level of clinical disease state management than administrative paper pushing management. A Nurse being called a doctor a laughable joke when they are just administrators. I think it's an ego thing.

  • @NPHPlife
    @NPHPlife2 ай бұрын

    Exactly seems a lot more administrative… I’m thinking they will keep the same MSN curriculum and add on the administrative courses!!?! And I get mistaken as a doctor still and I quickly correct them like no your NP lol

    This change seems almost punitive towards MSN-NP's. Are other APRN's such as CRNA's and Midwives going to be required to attain a DNP? Are PA's going to be required to attain a Doctor of Medical Science? I have questions and I look forward to updates concerning this topic. Thank you for posting.

    In my area it is heavily over saturated and many are working as RNs. This has driven the pay down low. My first NP contract was significantly less than my RN pay.
