Eh, this tattoo is really fun. I’m a teen and I like Edinburgh tattoos very much. I would like to ask, how do you request this DVD from bbc archives? Also your father Maxie McDonald really inspired me to play with Drum Major maces. I wish I can be your father one day doing the Mace Thing.

Maxi and I were in the corporals mess of 1 Cameronians in Buxtehude, Redford, Bahrain and Kenya. From memory he was a Londoner who joined up as a boy bugler. Chris Johnston, 23273303.

Hi , i am his son, he was born in london, his Dad was a Glaswegian ( merchant seaman) I was born in Minden with the cams , after Drum Major of the Royal Scots, he was Drum Major of the KOSB,s for two years and finally Sultan of Oman armed forces for 6 months until he finished

@@michaelbradley786 yeah it really is Garry and Kevin live in Inverness i live in N ireland now but go across fairly regularly, i remember us always playing football the water tank and your Dad making us chip buttys lol, i joined the Royal Scots and done 22years, low and behold one of my postings was kirknewton again

@@maxi2449 I often wonder where we all ended up? We all settled in the wigan area. Kevin was a fireman for 30 years and I served as a police officer in Manchester. John still drives for a security company and Cathy works in a care home. Sorry to learn that your dad passed away recently Our parents have both passed on. Dad 20 years ago and mum 4. That must have been a great buzz to serve with the Royal Scots.
