Nobody cares about drones invading our privacy anymore. Can’t find any videos on KZread talking about it. But now they’re literally circling our skies around the clock. Shame.

I liked your so called rant. In the early part of my aviation career I flew a lot of Continental engines and Lycoming. Engines. Starting with a Cessna 120 I learned to fly in. Yes had to rebuild it. Cessna 310. 2 cracked cases. One cylinder cracked off. The different Lycoming seemed to run fine. That was quite a while ago so I sure there have been improvements. When you said you were using the Titan I thought I’m not sure. But I know you have done your research. I think fate has moved in your direction. The Viking looks pretty good. I do enjoy your videos. I’m not sure yet if or what I will build. I like a lot about the Zephyrs. I prefer a tail wheel. I had a blast with the C-120. Have an awesome day!

First, I’m trying to finish the license I started over 40 years ago now that I’m approaching retirement age. But, at the same time I still know what I’m looking for. I’m waiting for MOSAIC to go through so I’m keeping my options open. I’m thinking that Zenith is the way I will go and with the Super Duty, I was thinking for a new engine, the UL Power 520 I/iS for the power to weight ratio. Also, although I prefer a more aircraft designed engine I had also considered the Viking 195 for the same reason. On the used/reman side, I was thinking the 6 cylinder IO-360KB at 195HP(see Cessna Reims R172 Hawk XP). It’s a bit heavier but a decent engine. Anyway, just my 2¢ worth.

Wish they would make a diesel variant in a truck form. Still rocking my 1994 turbo IDI F-250. It’s miles more reliable than anything made today, but I must admit that screen is cool. If it came in a normal truck and not an electrical fire waiting to happen, I’d probably buy one.

As a person mainly flying PA28 the big question is - why electrical flaps on a small plane? It's slower and prone to failure.

So, for every hour in the sky, you spend how many hours effing around on the ground? I guess that's the real appeal of the hobby--all the non-flying activities. It can't have anything to do with transportation efficiency, because with all the maintenance, procedural checklists, safety checks, etc., any car will beat a plane on a short-to-medium distance trip--at a tiny fraction of the cost of flying. Videos like this are helpful for non-pilots like me who are considering learning to fly because they show us what's really involved in hobby aviation. Thanks.

Took some dual once in a 150 from the Destin Cty. airport in Fl. Did not like the airplane - Electric flaps was the main reason. Didn't like having to look at the flap setting indicator on the left wing root while operating the flaps with a toggle switch on the lower rt-hand side of the instrument panel. Also, cockpit size too small for the two of us who were both well north of 200 lb.

40 flaps….for a low approach? I question the wisdom of that decision. Beyond a certain point (ie: 20 flaps) they start to create more drag than lift. Why add all that extra drag if you’re not planning to land?

You would think that whoever set up the camera would notice that the right-side seat belt is blocking the view of the runway. While the seatbelt can be moved, some planes like the Cessna Citation, Piper Cherokee, and DHC-6 Twin Otter have a large central support going down the center of the windshield. Moving this is not as easy.

Power lines were far away in front-normal LOW kind- and below his 100 feet agl. He could land forward in acres of Kansas fields. But panicked and tried an Impossible Turn from 100 agl at MCA speed. Panicked AND WANTED TO TURNBACK AT MCA FROM 100 AGL. An Impossible Turnback. Then he talks all over about he did the right thing AND NEVER TURN WHEN LOW AND SLOW. DENYING HE DID THAT. AN HYPOCRITE LIAR.
