    Very nice diorama, bravo! Tabletop world scenery is my favourite. My only criticism would is about how you placed the mill wheel. They were usually powered by a channneled steady flow of water coming from above. In your setting, the water at the feet of the wheel is almost still due to the close waterfall, hence no power could be transferred to the mill, Other than that, i love it

  • @TheLoremistress

    I am in the process of painting around 20 buildings from tabletop world. Right now im waiting on my wizards tower that was accidentally mailed to a town with the same name in my country only 3000 miles away and on the wrong coast lol. I got lucky i figured out what was happening or my now discontinued tower would be lost forever!

    Awesome job on these! Do you prime the buildings at all or do you find it’s good enough to just start painting on them as they come? I have a couple on the way so wanted to get an idea for how to paint them.

  • @timelapsepainting8111
    @timelapsepainting8111 Жыл бұрын

    Hello, The manufacturer says you can start painting them as is. For my part, I always plan a small cleaning with washing-up liquid and a good drying time, a white undercoat (Corax White) and I spray the whole building with Skeleton Bone. The result is then satisfactory to start painting the building.

    May I ask what is the Fixation H2O? Like, water alone doesn't fix pigments to place, correct? So what is there mixed into the water, PVA? In my experience with weathering powders the PVA water darkens the powder colors drastically :(

  • @timelapsepainting8111
    @timelapsepainting8111 Жыл бұрын

    At the time I posted this video, I was just spraying water. I had seen that Vallejo pigments could be fixed simply like that. Today, the pigments still hold but I replaced the water with Pigment Fixer (AK). I just find the product a little too concentrated and it consumes quickly for buildings. So I dilute it in a sprayer with a little water (translate from french with google trad)

    Your work is great, but seriously: why does your video have an English title when in the video you're using French subtitles? The only ones profiting from them after having clicked on your video are French speaking people. All non French speaking people have no idea what you're saying and are being left to only watch your video. That's a very sneaky way of clickbaiting and you should really think about changing that! Either keep using French subtitles (which is fine, absolutely) but then make the title also in French so people know what they're getting into BEFORE they click on your video or use an English title but then also be consequent enough and use English subtitles. Now, don't get me wrong, this is not at all about French vs English (I can handle it by connecting my rudimentary French and what I see) but is very much about title vs content and expectation vs surprise...
