  I’ve owned a string of BMWs for the past 15 years but one of my favourites was an E91 3 series touring like this. However, A4 cylinder example like this 3@8d or a 320d is not the one to go for. A 330d or 335d with the 6-cylinder engine is way better and why anybody would want a manual transmission with a turbo Diesel engine is beyond me - an automatic gearbox is so much less work and you can enjoy wafting along in any situation. Great cars! Many would say better than the ugly ones they make now.

  2013 and onward have fixed engine coders. Look for CTHE code on inside of the driver door
