  • @DayannasCreations
    @DayannasCreations15 күн бұрын

    different yarns have their own washing instructions so check the label to see what corresponds to that but usually for acrylic yarn it’s cold water and low heat since high heat makes it stretch out but with cotton it can hold either heat

  • @DayannasCreations

    This video is connected to the one before this since it’s a two part video but to do a picot stitch it’s really easy. 1. make 3 single crochet in the next 3 following stitches 2. chain 3 and slip stitch on the first chain 3. repeat step 1 and 2 you can also find videos on it or go to part one of this set

    I am trying to make a rectangle crochet gift box and I used a glue method on it. I blocked it and let it dry for a few hours and over night. It smells like glue how do I make that smell go away? I was thinking of washing it in Laundry but I’m worried it will mess up my gift.

  • @DayannasCreations
    @DayannasCreations20 күн бұрын

    usually when I use glue, I use little drops of it so it’s undetectable, but if you used a lot, then yes, it will smell

    @Hello6661319 күн бұрын

    @@DayannasCreations is there a way to make it not smell like glue lol cuz I soaked it in glue lol. If I wet it won’t I have to just block it again lol

  • @DayannasCreations
    @DayannasCreations19 күн бұрын

    if you soaked it in glue that’s exactly why it smells, but if you wanted to make the gift box more hard you don’t use glue, you use starch instead

  • @Hello66613
    @Hello6661319 күн бұрын

    @@DayannasCreations oh ok. Next time I will use starch. Thank you so much. This my first time blocking without just water so I’m new to this. If I just re wet it will it make it more stiff.

  • @DayannasCreations
    @DayannasCreations19 күн бұрын

    @Hello66613 don’t re wet it with glue, it’s going to get funky and might grow mold. you only use glue for little things like lose ends or adding felt details to a plushie but never to block, I recommend you watch starch blocking videos
