If you want them to bud out faster you can try adding just a small amount of sugar to the water, I don’t measure the amount but just a little bit from my sugar container say 1 1/2 tablespoon per 2quarts of warm water.
Brilliant! Thank you so much for a great tip! I've subscribed & look forward to more videos. 🙋🏼🤩
Thank you! I tried other tutorials and yours is the absolute best!
Wow, how do you keep the blight off the ‘’mater plants? So lush.
I start the seeds about 10 weeks early, they are much bigger and stronger plant when it's time to plant in the spring, by June they have nice weather to fully produce before the crazy heat arrive in July, also bury some compost in the garden bed & trim some crowded leaves if needed to give better airflow.
@@Footprintsinthegarden , Awesome! Thank you for that tip!

Do you have to put holes at the bottom? AWESOME video!
Thank you! You can do it if you want, but the water can easily seep through the fabric.
Directly those sprout gingers after medium cut on ginger i sow them in clay pot and then one final day i saw them growing so beautifully..
Gingers eyes are visible ..can she see me when I put it in dark😅
This is the first year in 10 that I have had trouble getting peas t sprout. Sow bugs problem as they break through soil so I have used diatamaceous earth which deters the sow bugs until they get stronger. But this year they are gone before sprouting. I will be saving egg cartons for the future for sure. Thanks for this excellent idea. No problem with such a small bottom hole?
No problem with the small hole, the roots just grow right through the cartons. Hope this trick work for you!
Thanks!
Thank you!! 😃
Very thorough video! One question though: Do you plant directly outdoors from this seedling flat or do you re pot into larger pots for the next step?
Yes, I plant them directly 🙂

I don’t have a long growing season, North East…zone 7. Do I have to grow for longer than 8 months?
You can harvest them young, young ginger will be less spicier than the old ginger.

Best of luck! 😃
Dumb questions coming. What is a ground cherry? Scientific name. Are they edible? I suppose they are or you wouldn't be planting them in your garden. Are they perennial? Edit: liked, subbed, black belled.
I just looked them up. Interesting, tomato like fruit. Annual. Edible.
Wat you sprinkle on
At 52 seconds, she uses a product to spray her seeds. She doesn't pump it. --It's spraying itself! SOMEONE, PLEASE tell me what that's called so I can order one right away!
Hi, it is Flo-Master 0.5 Gallon Sprayer, it do need pumping before use but I believe there's another type that doesn't need pumping but it is more expensive, you can type the name and it will show you different type of sprayer they have.
used this method,4 days and still no sprout from fresh tumeric pieces, cut exactly like you showed, I live in tropical climate
Just started mine, following your guide. Thanks!
