Was there seven times 1974- 1995 as a DoD civilian. I think we always landed east to west. Three time on an EAL 727 charter; three times on C-141 and last time on the Miami Marlins MD-80.

Excellent video--just some clarifications-- APU cannot be just refered as a generator or so, rather it's a small engine using aircraft fuel to provide Bleed Air and Electrical Powe while engines are not running As the name suggests, conditioned air means to cool the cabin while it's hot and to heat up while it's cold.. You can put the APU bleed on immediatelyvafter start, however it will come ON only after 2 min.

Actually guys, I''m not sure what ATC means when they say "drone activity authorized below 400 feet" because I'm a local Ft. Lauderdale "Drone" pilot and I can tell you that there is a total no fly zone all around FXE which extends about 1.5 miles off airport property in every direction. Beyond that, the next mile out is max altitude of 200ft AGL so y'all don't have to worry about colliding with a DJI as one of you said in approach, at least not from anyone following the law. Basically, to fly at 400 AGL, we have to be 3 miles or more from the end of runway according to the map. I assume you're not going to be below 400 at that distance from the runway! DJIs are relatively expensive not-toy-grade UAVs and I think you'll find pilots flying these are responsible. None of us wants to see a collision and responsible pilots like myself know where we can fly and under what conditions. I know I'm commenting on a 6 year old video but hopefully my comments help any pilots flying into FXE who come here for a look. See mapscaping dot com slash map-of-drone-fly-zones-in-the-us and enter "FXE airport" in the map's search box.

Hi Shawn. Haven't seen you in a while. Glad you're doing well. As to the error, I caught that something was missing, but without the checklist in front of me, I didn't know what it was. In retrospect, it was odd for the PF to call for gear. I guess when you hit the TOGA, gear comes under "Aviate" and the A/P under "Navigate." May that be the biggest mistake any of us ever makes! Wow! Descent right down to minimums! "Well done, team," indeed! That GE looks slick! I like to imagine what rich Whales are drinking it up behind you. Given the destination, I figure some lobbyists or minor politicians. Have you seen the Scott Perdue video of the GE with a dual engine-out emergency? kzread.info/dash/bejne/pYGYttBvcsTJfJc.html

Interesting video. I used to work for a company which supplied Hawker parts to Airbus. Some of these parts can be seen in this video. The battery tray and battery slide way and the 2 gallon hydraulic tank were ours amongst others. Nice to see where some of the parts went.
