we do a number of fun things on this channel that mostly involves being near water, heres some of what we do .
WALKS ,we go on various walks along beaches around the norfolk broads , out of town often somtimes 100's of miles away looking at many different things .
NORFOLK BROADS , were on the norfolk broads on a daily basis filming boats , wildlife , history and much more
DRIVING TOURS , we somtime just go out for a drive and show people round areas the people have asked to see or new places we havent shown before.

There is nothing like the North Sea in rough weather, I can remember one winter we were staying at The Ship, in the days of the lovely Nona, and the spray was going over the rooftop! We had many lovely holidays at the Ship, most of the time the weather was great!

The big bricks you see can’t stop the waves in a storm they get tossed around like pebbles many time attempts have been made to try and soften the impact the sea just destroyed everything so it not that nothing has been done you just can’t see what was there the sea washed it away I know I used to live there spent many winter night worrying if I would have a home by the morning
Hi there , yes i understand what your saying, but if you look along the coastline in the area of north Norfolk there’s other places that have very well done defences ect , I’m sorry you lost your home ❤️👍

@WFAEXPLOREWITHME l haven't the patience to fish but it is certainly popular..when I lived on my boat on the inland waterways I could be ploughing through hundreds of fishermen ...mile after mile ..in fishing contests. I had to creep along and wait for them to raise their rods to let me through ( and not happily ) then listen to the groans when I changed the water level to use the lock. 😃
@MrJohn768 oh ok , I very different on the broads and beaches round here , people come in the premieres to have a chat ect 👍
@WFAEXPLOREWITHME yes indeed...fishing is different on the Broads...most things are different...the towpath makes everything different because all of the waterway is accessible to everybody on canals whereas the Broads has great swathes privacy for boats ... so much better !

Thank you 👍 you really make an effort when you go to look at these things ... I always think you should be saying " I am doing this so you don't have to !! " The council do appear to be getting on with the job. I heard that the lifeboat was asking for volunteers to help to get the station sorted...but it looked OK to me so I guess it is finished. I was wondering about the game you though you could be on ... and I remembered a really old game that took brains and brawn ... it was called the Krypton Factor ... then I realised you are too young to remember that one ... and made myself feel old - sigh - Thanks again. 👍

Eventually, all ocean front property owners will lose their homes. The trick is to sell before it becomes an issue. You don't want to be the last sucker left holding the bag, so to speak.
At 42:00 you see large blocks that were optimistically constructed to stop the erosion. Hardening the shoreline INCREASES erosion due to "reflection" of waves.
Regardless of your opinion on Climate Change, or Global Warming, or whatever you call it next, there is one fact that is certain. The Ocean is rising about 1/5" per year, or 1" every 5 years. The rate of increase is accelerationg. For every 1" of ocean rise, lateral erosion can be up to 200' depending on the slope of the land and its composition. Hardening the shoreline with walls and such is a real mistake. It causes "reflection" of waves which carries sand out to sea, thereby increasing erosion. I betcha any old timer would tell you that the beach used to be huge back in their childhood. And for those of you lamenting the past, and hating on the increase in tourists, traffic, or whatever, think about this . . . Everybody complains about growth. But you never see a protester at a Maternity Ward.

For the 2024 event youll be able to see the boats at Oulton Broad on Thursday 8th August, they will leave Oulton Broad in convoy for Beccles at 11:15 on Friday 9th August and arrive at Beccles a couple of hours later. Show day is Saturday the 10th
