This was a sweet video, but you'll want to practice because you're definitely going to be cooking this dish more in the future for a beautiful lady near you! ;-) Cantonese congee typically has a ton more water in it, a dish that looks lumpy and sticky like Western porridge isn't the right outcome. The congee base, which you can think of as basically how well the rice has bloomed, is very important in defining the texture of the dish. It takes a really long time to cook congee so don't rush the process. The ingredients and preparation is not difficult, but the timing is the difficulty of it. There's some good recipes out there but if they don't take like an hour or more to make, they're either wizards or rush jobs. Congee is often made for sick people because it's an incredibly mild and light food. You will absolutely digest it, your stomach will never disagree with it. However, it's not really got a lot of substance in it, most of the dish is water. You don't want to make congee alone as a meal(unless you're sick and have no appetite, but a dish of mostly water still won't give you enough energy to recover), it's worth making some side dishes with it or fry up youtiao to dip in the congee with. And it's definitely an inexpensive food to make as well, the historical origins of making porridge with rice was originally to stretch reserves of rice per-meal to begin with.

it was delicious. literally the only two things are ground chicken and pancake batter mix, double fried. you may have to put them in the oven after frying them if they're still raw on the inside. 10/10 chicken nuggies :)

@@dan-uh1bs shit picked up fast. I’m doing fine, but the class as a whole is consistently scoring below 50%s in all our major classes (physics, math). We started out with +80 students now we are probably less than 70. After the new years, we will be down to close to 60 (so I’m told) and the numbers only go down Keep replying here if you want progress update 👍👍
