  I am almost certain cats (and other intelligent animals) grasp that humans use an upward inflection in our voices to communicate when we are asking a question. This Abyssinian appears to be using the trill-into-a-meow as a mechanism to ask, "Are you going to follow me?"

  My Abby rarely meows . But mrrooow like nuts . I had 6 cats before at my parents house when kiddo, then 1 on my own. Then moved another country and for 20 years didn't had a cat. Last year my mom past away. To help my grievance, I went to get a cat. I felt in love on sight at a 6 months old Abby in a pet store She costed quite a lot , but I have no regrets. When I brought her home. My wife got angry because I didn't consult with her . I had to sleep on the couch for a week. But secretly she started to love our Abby. Her name is Bella... i had a half breed siamese cat before . That was interesting. But Abbys are totally different. I like that they are independent but highly demanding and capricious. Never in a world I would change her... also, she broke our rice cooker, my spouse laptop, couple pc mouses and today she managed to brake pixels in our smart tv... But we still love her

  Yes! My old Abyssinian didn’t meow ever. I don’t remember him meowing but if he did it was very quiet like a silent beep If he saw a bird or a bug he’d start clicking 😂😂 like he was talking to it

  I've had Aby's since 1989 - I think all cats are beautiful but the Aby is almost indescribable in it's beauty, sweetness, intelligence, companionship. Thank you for sharing, pb

  Took care of a cat for a while that meowed exactly like this. Completely black cat that looked like a mini black panther. She was super sweet. She didn't die or anything in case anyone's wondering, just back with her original owner now.
