The Spaniards and the French were here before the British colonies were formed. The Louisiana purchase was the French selling the land to the new Americans. The Spaniards just let their occupation decline in the West of North America. The Spanish and French did not get along with the Native Americans and in fact were worse than the British. The British settlers tried to get along and work with the Indians. Most of the time it did work out and for 50+ years. The probable is that the Indian Tribes did not get along which lead to the settlers having to choose sides which lead to hard feelings with some tribes.

I finally found it! I remember watching this in a drama class I took in high school and I enjoyed it so much. I don't what time period this adaptation was supposed to take place, but it looks more an anarchism stew type of setting, with Chinese take out (48:30) and all, but that's what made this so damn funny! Also, I can't believe I forgot that Paul Rudd was in this as Orsino, with long hair and in full fanservice glory! All I remember was thinking about how good Helen Hunt looked when dressed as Cesario.

My wife and I were at Gino's concert at the MECCA Arena in Milwaukee on 1 May 1979, such a brilliant performance. To the rumbling thunder introduction to Storm at Sunup, this magnificent entertainer rose to the stage, wearing a Milwaukee Brewers uniform shirt, delighting the crowd. It's a very special moment in our lives; we were engaged to be married just days later. _Time is on my side Cause somehow I know you're there Baby I'm talking about someone like you I love you in my loneliness And it keeps me walking on_

Why Ed Sheeran?, you may ask. Check out Ed Sheeran's cover of 'I was made to love her' at the Stevie Wonder Tribute concert, Stevie was absolutely blown away. A great rendition by Ed, and a huge moment in his career. ❤Stevie Wonder, ❤life.

The soigné speech patterns and crisp vocabulary of the people interviewed in this documentary are reminders of how much has been lost culturally. One does not hear such voices now. That generation has vanished, its upper-crust diction along with it.

He was dressed "differently "...like my Dad, living to 96, a year ago, who gave his first violin concert at 3, shown in a sepia photograph with shoulder length sausage curls wearing a dress. The tiny violin was made for a child. As a soldier Dad fell off a roof in WW2 in Europe, breaking his hand, ending a career with violin. Afterwards he turned to the trumpet , part of the original Titanic band playing in the original film, and the Eddie Duchan Story, on the road with a band when Mom was due with his 1st baby in 1948. As kids Mom had him teach us great songs with Musical Pillows in the living room.

What a wonderful history you've shared :) It was very common at that time, when your dad was little, to dress boys as "girls" and style their hair that way. Look at any childhood photo from around the same time or before and you'll see it. FDR as a child is just one example. The reason I've heard is that in those days young children were just "children," and were neither boys nor girls yet. Clothing styles and hair cuts strictly along gender lines came about as the child became school age? Or close to it.
