Funny that those are the same plants that gurneys made a video of. Most plant companies are owned by the same company.

I planted a young creeping phlox at start of summer. It looks EXACTLY the same today, at the end of summer. Might as well be a plastic plant! Is this normal?

I know this video is old BUT I’ve just been gifted a few day lilies that were dug up and separated by another gardener. The leaves are quite long and resting on the ground. It’s August 1st. Is it ok to trim them or should I leave them until the end of the season? What is the general rule? I live in Canada zone 3 if that makes a difference…

I live in Southern California. And had not have luck with clematis. One was good for two years, suddenly died and looks like the stem next to the root ball rotted, but I did not water it too much. Two purchased this spring, all leaves are wilted over night and never came back. I planted them next to the roses and I water the roses at noon time. Not sure if that caused the problem.

I have watched this video multiple times trying to understand what you were mumbling. At about 2:30 you talk about balanced fertilizer, and you say "just consult mumble mumble mumble". You stress how important this is, but (for me at least) code it in garble. Now that I got that off my chest, and got you into a good mood, would you mind telling me what you said ?
