  • @1WAYBAD

    You will need to contact your tuner. The turns from stock is not the recommended procedure for setting crack pressure. Like stated in the video, counting turns is just a good starting point. The hand pump with gauge is the only accurate way to set crack pressure.

    The issue with the delay is in the tune!!! You need to adjust the torque-based decel, or completely turn it off and rely strictly on dashpot settings. Torque based decel causes the RPM's to hang when releasing the throttle under load in drive, which causes the engine to delay going into vacuum, which delays opening of the bov, and causes compressor surge. Im dealing with this now on my F150 with Tial Q bov.

    I ordered a full race intercooler kit for my 2014 F150 and I opted for the TialQ Mechanical BOV but noone has given instruction for what to do with the stock EBOV and wire that goes to it? did you just unplug it and remove the EBOV and cap off the pipe?

    Buy a 1/2 watt 36 ohm resistor, can buy 100 of them on Amazon for $7.. get 2 wires and solder the leads of the 36 ohm resistor to the 2 short wires then shrink wrap the resistor and solder points to protect them from heat and water contamination then use wire taps to tap into the 2 wires that plug into the stock bypass valve...the ecu only cares about something being plugged in and that its working.. youve now bypassed the shitty electric bypass valve they installed.. and now went full mechanical with the tial.. or if you arent handy with wiring.. disconnect tolhe stock valve and plug it in and zip tie it under the intercooler someplace.. and it wont throw a CEL..hope that helps!

    e85 tunes any manufactor really are potent as hell. I went with powertune stage 5 E85 with velocity intake and KWI clutching. pwrtune is the only one who thought it through. 15psi eco tune and 20+psi sport tune. you don't want high boost all the time especially trail running and what not. why run the turbo to hell when you don't need to. I wish others thought about this! nice job though guys. I want some cams with mine next see if I can get more off the line acceleration. people want to see accurate 0-60 and 1/8 mile times more then comparisons I believe just a thought! keep it up though guys competition makes everything better

  • @1WAYBAD

    If you will get that KWI clutch out of your machine, it would be a lot quicker. We sale KWI, and it leaves a lot to be desired. Just FYI, all of my tunes run lower boost when in Eco mode...

For the sake of science, tho, it might be cool to time the cars with all 3 tunes as opposed to drag race to see if there is a measurable difference...

  • @1WAYBAD

    Yeah, it does appear that way. The truth is, the stock tune has such a dead spot "lag" on the hit, it just is that much slower at the launch. We had to do a few launches to get it as close as what it was. I guess I could have just gave to stock tune the hit, but then that's not a true comparison either.

  • @1WAYBAD
    @1WAYBAD8 жыл бұрын

    Neither worked properly. The 10 was to stiff, not opening when coming off boost, and the 8 was to light, staying open at idle. You could possibly shim the 8lbs spring to make it some where in between the 8 and 10 to try and make it work. I took mine off and went back to the factory BOV.

  • @codycat91
    @codycat914 жыл бұрын

Jacob Luther I've never used any type of filter on any of my BOVs. The only reason you would want to use a filter on a BOV, would be to quieten down. It will always be pressurized air coming from the BOV, so it's not going to ingest anything into your intake track or engine.
