Per la MX-5 sì, è piuttosto veloce. Ma la Cayman aveva delle gomme che definire “finite” sarebbe stato un complimento. Con gomma fresca il tempo sarebbe stato diverso.

The caster value is correct. Unfortunately the 225/45 will always touch. The 235/40 is better in terms of overall dimensions.

@@marcoquaranta7906 I run 225/45 and I rarely touch at the track, maybe I'm running more pre load because I don't think I'm running more ride height. What tire are you on? I think you said an A052, maybe it has a wider section. Either way, it is what it is.

Scendere sotto gli 8 minuti è assolutamente fattibile, anche in questa configurazione. Meno traffico e qualche punto da migliorare a livello di traiettorie. È difficile avere la tridimensionalità completa di quel circuito, servono tanti, tanti giri…

What's your suspension setup - damping, sway stiffness, alignment? i have Whitelines and Ohlins on my NC and haven't worked out yet if I still need the sways. They are on their softest setting and still seem a bit too much. Car is very neutral though, so a great improvement on its stock understeer bias.

Setup development is a complex matter, it takes time and tests to find the ideal setup. And a track like the Nordschleife requires further precautions for everything to work well...

Is your ND modified in any way? Since they’re known for their weak transmissions I’m curious if you’ve made any modifications to make sure your car is up to the demands of such a difficult track?

I also broke the gearbox of my ND. But after over 60 thousand kilometers of track and in any case intensive use on the road. My opinion is that, although it’s not a racing gearbox, it’s not weaker than other more famous gearboxes.
