Hi Wayne 👍 I thought this was a Shore hunter post 🤔 But I see it’s a Tronix post and you are actually at work. I was wondering if you were looking for an apprentice? I’m 58 and looking for work , and I thought you might need some help fishing every day 🤔 or reeling in lots of fish . I haven’t worked for a while now since the Bra factory I worked for went bust 😔 I had a short spell working at a paper mill, but work got short and the paper mill folded 😔 I would like to be considered for any job vacancy you have that may arise.
so wot do you recon now that you have fished with it ? and mine was realy dry as f i opend it up np grease at all and had to oil it
Hi these rods look great! I'm trying to find out if the Blackout and Naga are compatible with fixed spool reels or if they're multiplier only? Thanks
Any more trips too norway stu, you come alive when your there mate 👌
Hello Stev, im looking at a channel as we speak.
Great video again I've fishished arround the sandsvikberget area on a number times on trips out to norway but I've never heard of that area looks a great mark any info on a location
It's in the village Roan, it's 45 mins drive from Sandvikberget.
Thanks for the reply 👍 will look into it on my next trip
Nice one Stuart, well done on the Wolf fish capture. Had one locally while boat fishing from St. Abbs in the Scottish Borders (40 odd years ago ) but never had one from the shore, but I have put a lot of effort into it. I'll not give up though. Great uploads, really enjoying your content, keep them coming please.
Thanks very much. I've done some trips to catch one. Cross fingers you'll get one
Iv,e got that rod and was amazed how it deals with double figuar fish easy really nice feel about it 6pce wonder rod stu 🦾
Stev, it's a life save for me. I take it everywhere with me.
What is the allowance for taking bait to Norway? Also can you pack your bait as a group or do you need to pack everyone’s allowance separately? Thanks!
I always take 20kg of bait with me as this is the limit per bag.
Where are those white imps from?
Great video as usual. But TronixPro need to up their customer focus game, never any answers to questions on these videos, which is a shame. That interaction could be really good for the company. The reel looks awesome and obviously performs well. Just a shame that gear ratio is so low, would take an age to reel in a half decent cast. Still teetering on the edge of getting one though, I think the aesthetics are wonderful. Happy to review one on my channel if you guys wanted to send me one.
Nice reel! Do you ship to the states?
Highly disappointed!! I bought one from Gerrysfishing, took it out twice, caught 2lb spotted sickle fish and to my surprise it was pulling drag even when i tighten the drag. So got home and disassembled the reel. What i found was disappointing, one of the drag spring washer was broken and the other half of the broken piece was nowhere to be found. The weird thing is, one spring washer was placed between star drag and the IAR and the other that was broken was between the IAR and drag cup washer (which is at the wrong place!!) Disassemble it further and found that there is 2 drag cup washer which it should only be one and the rest are suppose to be flat washers. And there was no grease at all to the gears, washers and moving parts. It was a disappointment and i have emailed Gerrysfishing but yet to get a response. This is clearly an issue with manufacturing and assembly on tronixpro's side. 1 issue is fine but more than 1 is shocking. Tronixpro, you have some questions to answer here.
Yea still good tho mate, Fish on
Good stuff Stu 🎣🇳🇴
Nice video Stuart 🎣
Got an issue we format, rest are better
Nice video. Can I assume you also pack a tri-pod if bait fishing?
Apologies, the lodge I stay at provides rod stands. If I'm going to a different lodge I put the stand in the rod tube.
Brilliant, Very useful, s great checklist many thanks
Brilliant. Really comprehensive. Thank you. 🐳👍
Going in July thanks mate
Nice ond Taff🤝👏🏾👏🏾
What happens if you try putting this up in high wind..does the shelter allow you to cover the pebble flaps whilst it’s laying on the floor and then lift it up and assemble for better anchorage ?
Nice little display of rigs 👏👏
Hi Wayne nice video as always,I have a question I like to fish 7 ounce plus bait sometimes double squid will the black out handle that combo or should I be looking at a Naga ? I'm looking for my last purchase of two rods as I'm 57 so for ever rods is what I'm looking for your advice would be greatly appreciated my friend, love to you and your family in the new year
Another great video Wayne and informative. Could you do some diagrams of the rigs you use so us novices can attempt to duplicate yours. 🙏
Bought this on the back of your video Wayne, sorry to say the service from Tronixpro has been terrible and the courier used is a joke. Paid £20 for next day delivery, 4 days later I’m still twiddling my thumbs.
Hi Wayne, just an observation , should you be using the tension knobs for braking, usually they are just for centering the spool, the braking is applied from the mono mag, also was that a Naga you were using , looks nice
You can but only if it is an old Abu or other reel that doesn't have floating spool. If it does, just use the brake knob on the same side as the mono mag, works the same.
@zefe3886 Oh it's not got a free floating spool!?
Wayne well said and to the point. Looks a lovely reel but I'll stick with my fixed spools mate
So good I bought 2
Bought my first multiplier when on holiday in South Wales at the age of 16, First cast saw me sitting on the beach for the best part of an hour trying to clear the birds nest. Moral of the story, listen to Wayne and take your time and practice .
Can I ask does it have a rachet? I love my 7ht's but not having a ratchet is a real downer on the Bristol channel. I personally don't think you'll find a better casting reel but if these had a rachet I could be seriously tempted to upgrade my pair. Quality demo Wayne as always in simple terms. Hope your doing well
It does
Good demo Wayne I use century t 900 rods with sloth multiplyer reels and I am no caster but if I tried to cast like you did at the end it would end up in tiers I know it ,but I do catch so I suppose that the main thing
Great video guys. I take it the reel doesn’t have a ratchet?
...and don't forget to put your thumb on the spool as the lead hits the water - something which is easy to miss especially at night - otherwise all your good work will be undone!
Hope it’s better than the old Tronixpro mag didn’t last long
I'll give you another tip.......when a fish is on it goes against the resistance so if your rod is up it's going to take you to the nearest snags. Drop your tip so the fish goes over the snags. I've done a lot of carp fishing and the tactic works at sea
So where was the ray clip? 0😂
I've noticed before, when you 'plant' your right foot then swivel round on it is that to help with the direction of the cast?
It does actually help to get the full rotation
Fantastic tutorial.... I've got a envoy orbit that's been fitted with a mono mag by the rocket reel company..... I've never used it.... I know.... Criminal..... But now I can give it a go thanks to you!!!
It's strange I've noticed a lot of anglers are using fixes spool Reels I've used z multiplier since I was 10 yrs old now 60 yrs old I use s fixed spool for spinning
A great tutorial there Wayne. I gave up my last multiplier rod and reel set up a couple of days ago, after using them since before the dinosaurs. I'm 100% fixed spool reel only now.
Nice vid Bud. What is the thinking behind pennels with a circle at the top and a J hook at the bottom, do they not negate each others strengths?
That was a beauty of a sole Wayne. I bought one of the Competition TT rods last week, and I am so happy with it I've ordered another one. The one I bought last week was a combo deal and it came with a Virtuoso Air 8000, a very nice reel. I already have a big Shimano fixed spool, so the 2nd TT will have that reel on it. I'm looking forward to getting out with the pair of TT's. Another cracking video Wayne👍
Nice video
Been using fiwed spools since the 1970s in the Bristol channel. Never had a problem Diawa 4000c was particularly good.
Could you advise the leader knot you use for tapered leader to 17lb main line and show making same Thanks in advance
Well done wayne lovely sole and nice Ray u always do us a good video mate we r all waiting to see u holding that double figured cod and me for one would be pleased for u it's the one fish I am missing from my list of fish of big fish but u never know whats round the corner anyway keep getting those fish u deserve everyone. 🦈👍
Nice one from GRIMSBY
That bit at 11:00 😂
What a cracking foot fish 😆well done. 👍
Nice one Wayne! Lovely sole and a cracking little small eyed. I’ll let you count the conger as like the Americans say, you touched the leader, so it’s a caught fish. The doggie just made it a proper session! It’s not a proper session unless you catch a doggie! I’m supposed to be out today, but it’s predicted 7 to 10ft waves along with a 30mph wind. I might find a sheltered spot somewhere in the Humber for a few hours if I’m lucky, but I’ll give it a go. All the best buddy 👍🏻
Your on a species hunt and you weren’t too pleased to catch a dog fish. Is that not a species of fish 🤔🎣
