Wonderful sharing👍
Thank you! Cheers!
@@juanitabecker1482 You are very welcome😊
For an overhead view and some insight into the piano technique needed, see video #45b. And, the second time through I should have said “just the right hand.” (Not left hand)
Sorry Maam what is the name of the method? Greetings from El Salvador ❤
Thank you for your question. If you click on the word “more” in the area below the video (called the description) you will see the information you seek. Just click on the word “more” every time you see it. Best of luck, and greetings to El Salvador!
❤❤❤❤ wonderful there are no words Just 😮😮😮😮
Thank you. That was made during Covid lockdown, and I am no longer sure which student was M.S. The Concone Preludes can be accessed from IMSLP.
Wonderful sharing👏👏

I really enjoy this format, especially when you point to the notes. Thank you!
I am glad it works for you! It was how I was taught to teach (by the wonderful Martha Stacy at the Oberlin Conservatory), and I believe it helps most beginners.
Be sure to review at the least previous 3 or 4 pieces that you have learned, for the best long term results!
To play along with the duet part see #40c.
For a view of the piano keyboard and advice on piano technique see #40b!
So nice❤
For extra fun, play along with the duet video, #39c!
Be sure to watch the overhead view video, #39b, for piano technique tips!
I suggest wiggling the fingers or “pretend playing” on a surface or your leg when I go over the fingering. It helps prepare the brain to play it correctly on the piano the first time.
Nice❤️
Wonderful❤
Glad you think so!
Are the notes after the f# just f# because there's no natural sign?
Yes. The F# is cancelled by the very next bar line, but until then the F remains F# (unless there is a natural sign to cancel it). Thank you for watching!
@@juanitabecker1482 oh I forgot that effects end at bar line

Hi, I just discovered this video as a recommendation from KZread, and like it. I could not find a playlist on your channel to start from the first video. How can I find the videos to start at the beginning. Thank You
Thank you for asking that question! I had not realized the playlists were private. There are now two public playlists, “Music at the Piano,” and “Knitting the Notes.” At the moment only select videos are on KZread, and the rest of the beginner course is available free at: musicatthepiano.teachable.com. As time permits I will move more videos to KZread, and will also create new videos at a variety of skill levels. Thank you again for your interest!
Thank you Dr. B. Love the new haircut!
Thanks!
You are welcome!
Thank you !! 😊
You're welcome 😊
I cannot express the joy I have because I've been looking for gems on the internet but I struggle to find good tutorials on here. Not until I came across one of your videos. I'm an aspiring artist and I really want to be one with the keys and your tutorials give me hope. I know this video wasn't intended for me but know that it has reached someone who really needed it. Your dedication and time you put in to these videos are greatly appreciated and I will make great use of them. I wish that in the near future we connect! I'd love to have you as my mentor in piano! All the best.
Thank you for your kind comment. You may find something useful in my Knitting the Notes with Dr. B videos, which I have recently begun posting. Best wishes!
nice
Thanks
If “collapse” the thumb joint is a confusing thought, try “relax” the thumb joint.
Thank you so much for this very useful video on explaining knitting the notes! It is much appreciated. Brian
I am happy to know it was helpful!
Was struggling with this piece! Thank you so much for this video
Happy to help!
olá. Você teria a partitura do acompanhamento para disponibilizar?
The accompanying music is included with the Piano Safari method book.
The F Maj is the N6 chord...it's just from the Harmonic min b2 or melodic min b2 it's mode is Lyd #6 or Lyd #5 #6...you can make that chord Maj7. dominant, aug or dim..1, 3, 5, ..1#2, 5...1 #2, #4...1, 3. #5...1, 3, #6 Lyd #2, #6...is just a mode of double harmonic min.... Most of the time it'll just get inserted. You can use it to help you cycle DOWN to the 4th Lyd.....ion....mix it's actaully EASIER to see it on the Keyboard in C MAJOR/Amin... Pushing UP from A min towards A MAJOR The 5 black notes.....G#........F#, G#........D#, F#, G#...... ( Bb)......C# or Pushing down from C MAJOR towards C min. b2.......b3..............b5.......b6.......b7 ( b3, b6, b7) = NATURAL minor...They're also just the SECOND arpeggio of 1, 4, 5 chord b6 ( Ab)= C Harmonic MAJOR b3 (Eb) = C melodic min b3, b6 = C Harmonic min b3, b6, b7 = NATURAL min b2 , b3 melodic min b2 b2, b3, b6 Harmonic min b2 b3, b5 melodic min b5 b3, b5, b6 Harmonic min b5 b3, #4 b3, #4, b6 From C MAJOR... C Maj into F min ( chord) Ab maj7 G7 into C MAJOR A min Ab7 G7 into C MAJOR.. or I could had easy stayed in F min/Ab MAJOR The F could be lyd b3, Lyd #2,,,Lyd #2, b7....ect But Ill use it as a pivot tonic ( just for kicks)....so it's easier to comprehend. C Maj into F min Bb dim B min E7 into A min F Maj7 G Maj C MAJOR..... using F min as the tonic...( I know 2.4. b6. 7 chord degree are all possible full dim.) or I can say I sub the F with lydian b3....and Bb with lydian #2 , #6...ect.. F min Bb dim...into B min chord....B min is just the ii chord of A melodic min B min E7 into A min ( ii, V, i) ...melodic min version I could had easy play F#7 into B min to E7 into Amin A#/Bb dim.....F# or A#dim/F#... its the same intervals as B dim/G or G7 or I can play A min Bb7 into Ebmin/Gb MAJOR...(easy) Using the N6 as dominant into Eb MAJOR/Cmin or Eb min/Gb MAJOR it's harder to play on the keyboard.. but it's EASY to shift to multiple keys and back on the guitar.. The MAJOR is just one out of many scales...it gets boring playing the same old stuff in different pitch..( keys are just PITCH) so....you basically play different CADENCE to spice it up....here and there.
