    Small correction - we are NOT PREDATORS. Human beings were made in the image of GOD. Just because sin has marred this marvelous creation doesn't mean that the big bang, abiogenesis and evolution is true and that we should bow to those humanist gods. Thanks for the rest of the information - very useful indeed.

    I have the old CS. I had two mags fail to lock the slide back so far. I contacted Staccato and they replaced the mags. I think the problem is the mag spring. I have yet to any other problems with It. I think Staccato produces one of the finest handguns on market.

    When I started carrying my CCW, it was a very gradual process. Few months of carrying without a mag in the gun, but on my mag holster instead. Then it was mag in the gun, no round in the chamber. And finally to round in the chamber. I started carrying about 3 months into owning a gun, and when I felt I was proficient with handling and shooting one. I usually doing with 9mm or .45 in appendix during the warmer seasons and switch to 3 o’clock OWB from late fall to mid spring when I’m wearing a light or heavy jacket.

    Iron sights can be used target focused too. You mentioned Ben Stoeger before and he has a great video showing target focused iron sight use. On the eyes 11:36, Ben's analogies were: 1. You're out with your wife and see a smoking hot women. You know you can't stare but you're aware of her. 2. At your pc you want your cursor on an icon. You look at the Icon and just move the mouse there, you don't stare at the cursor while it moves there. You know where your hand is.

    So that's why my girlfriend that loves guns has always a cucumber with her in the purses , and when I ask her what use has for this she said that she use it to learn to grip the hand better and squeeze the trigger faster. Thank you man! But she said that banana is not so good as in your video.

    No one on gun safety videos ever suggests this: live your life in a manner so that you’re never in a position or place when draw, sight picture, squeeze is a matter of tenths of seconds. Then you can carry chamber-empty and unholstering/reholstering becomes far less stressful. Think about it. Unless you’re a cop, detective, Fed or maybe some type of money changer why carry one in the pipe? I’m 52 years old and have never faced a situation so dangerous that I didn’t have time to rack a weapon. Or even easier, carry a decent wheel gun. Again at 52 I’ve never even needed one live round for self defense. Let alone 15+1. Cops worked 30 year careers through the 1980’s carrying 6 rounds in a .38 or .357

    The idea that carrying one in the chamber guarantees your safety when the truth is that most accidental discharges happen upon drawing a gun is very interesting. Trained professionals shoot themselves every year and it’s because while people are telling themselves to get comfortable with their gun, I think that’s the exact thing that leads to accidental discharges. You shouldnt be so comfortable with something that can take a life enough to say “I’m going to be perfect when I need to be” and genuinely think that will be the case when it’s proven every year this just won’t ever be true.

    Forgive me if I'm wrong here but.. I mean wouldn't all the margin for error and danger go away by simply just not having the gun racked. Like if it's not chambered then you're good. Realistically if you are in a threat it takes less than a second to rack the pistol. I mean draw the gun and rack it in one fluid motion. But I mean the one person you really don't want to shoot definitely.. is yourself. You're carrying this thing around on you all day. Don't have it loaded. I'd rather take the less then one second moment to chamber the round than have any chance of shooting myself regardless of where I have the gun holstered.

    I don’t like the built in wedge you guys offer on some of your holsters. I believe the only holster for the p365 with a wml option has the built in wedge. Are you guys planning on making one for the p365 with a wml but no built in wedge?

    What about just painting the gun? Taping up all the important parts and entry points and cleaning it thoroughly after it dries out and use some clp, should be good but would paint affect reliability?

    My carry combination for 30 years was a rather simple but very well made nylon holster that was on my belt and tucked into my right hand back pocket with the handle out and facing right, I'm right handed, so that reaching for it would be the exact same motion as reaching for my wallet, if I had carried a wallet. I wore a pretty standard work uniform with a button down shirt not tucked in. The gun was pretty much invisible and I carried it in the bank, stores, restaurants and to the best of my knowledge nobody, even those who knew me well and saw me a lot, ever knew. It's not a system that I ever saw many use but it worked great for me and I could get my gun very quickly yet it was secure. I carried either my Astra A75 DA .40 cal or my, actually preferred, Makrov 9x18 Russian. Both are double action semi auto and always with one in the chamber giving me 8 rounds in either one. The Astra didn't even have a safety only a de-cock, the Makrov had one but I never engaged it as I didn't see any need as both sat on 1/2 cock and had enough trigger pull that there was no chance of accidental discharge.

    Regardless of whether appendix carry has advantages..,claiming anecdotally “I have not shot myself”.., is not “evidence” it is safe. Anymore than a motorcyclist who doesn’t wear a helmet saying “I am a safe driver and I have never been killed by not wearing a helmet.” You are much less likely to die from your own firearm if you don’t appendix carry. No matter what other precautions you take there is always a non zero chance of an accidental or negligent discharge and I would rather get shot in the ass or calf, than the femoral artery or groin.

    I've tried appendix carry (43x) and it really is not comfortable for me, especially bending down at the waist or sitting. (I'm a roofing contractor). I carry 330 on the hip with a Fobus C series.

  • @tenicorusa
    @tenicorusa5 күн бұрын

    Sitting can be very comfortable with the right holster. I sit for 6+ hours/day with a Glock 19 in the appendix position and I'm 100% comfortable. Frequent bending over will probably always be an issue for appendix. I can see that being a bad setup if you were doing something like roofing for sure.

  • @eancola6111

    I’m convinced people who carry appendix spend their day standing straight up talking about how good appendix is. You’ve just stuck a non flexible object somewhere that needs to flex, it’s either going to dig into your stomach or your thigh

    For me, it is better not to carry it chambered. If you are going to carry it chambered, then it is better if it is a hammer-fired pistol like a Beretta or a CZ that has safeties and decocking, so you have more peace of mind while carrying with one in the chamber.
