I remember when producers started making the shift to cold cast porcelain then. I really hated the stuff because it chipped easily and cleaning seams was a pain. I went out of my way to avoid buying anything made with it.

Thanks for a bit of background on this kit and cold cast material. I have a couple cold cast kits ( none assembled yet) and when I did inspect the parts, my senses were confused. The weight was telling me it seems sturdy while my “Spidey senses” were saying “ this is very fragile”. Thanks again for commenting on this piece. 🙏 @mraadesign

Great review! You really showed off the kit well. I have Lost Lure and love it. I hadn't really considered this one because I'm not the biggest fan of the movie, but it is a stunning kit. And with the lighting option... You have a great setup for building and painting. How about a tour? I like the organization.

Thats very cool, I got the 3D printed version from NY3D Creations. I plan to fill the hollow parts with resin. Gilbert Mondragon (Styrene Syndicate) is a great source for painting leather.

Great reviews. I have the Creature kit and can agree that the sculpt is exceptional. The molding and casting are stellar as well. Very minimal cleanup and a blast to paint.

That's a classic kit! I remember when it came out back in the 90's. Saw a few of them at Wonderfest back then. The casting look fantastic for 1996 TBH. I remember getting kits with 1/8 inch offset moldlines. ;) OR part of an ear OR nose missing. This one looks like a breeze to build. Didn't know you had only been doing this for about 3 years.
