    That’s what I was thinking too, in fact u was shocked. I chrono’d it with a garmin xero c1 and from what I understand it’s a reasonably accurate little device. I didn’t show any initial pressure signs on my brass which is new federal market fc-11. No split necks, no cratered primers etc. I think the main test of time will be how many firings one would get out of said rifle. I’m also right near max according to hornady load data so I really haven’t even pushed it per the manual. Their published velocity is 2800 fps with the top load but they also used a 25” test barrel and I have a 26”. I’m also only at 2900 feet altitude wise so it’s very feasible. I’ll let you know how many firings I get if I can find enough power to shoot it that many times in a decent amount of time. I’m hoping to find some more reloader 22 but I haven’t had much luck since I posted the video

    Nice shooting. I have an Italian Sabatti EVO in 300 win mag bull barrel, 28 inch. Running 68 grains of N560 and 200 gr Bergers. Average of 2875 fps with nice groups. Greetings from Brazil

    Thanks man. This is a 26 in barrel, my fastest chrono with a 212 gr was 2940 which is a lot faster than I anticipated based off the load data I was using. (Not that I’m complaining). Feel free to follow my channel. More videos to come.

    Lol I didn’t know democrats that run out of their Prozac build rifles from the ground up, make their own ammo, and can shoot them out to a mile. When people like me become a problem, you’ll know it

    I’ll do a video in a few days but it’s been great. Super reliable, reaches out way beyond what a 5.56 is capable of. Ammo is expensive, and very hard to come by though. If I didn’t handload owning this rifle would be a waste. Even then though, 6.5 grendel brass which I still have to convert is selling for over 1.00/piece. I recently built a 6.5 Grendel for a friend of mine and I was able to convert his brass from 7.62x39 brass. It’s cheaper but uses a large primer but has less internal case capacity. It’s not breaking any velocity records with a 123 gr lapua scenar but it’s been quite accurate out to 600 yards.

    I have a 6 arc with a Faxon/brownells 18” barrel. Have put a few rounds through it. I do have a superlative adjustable gas block and H1 buffer weight to get a nice ejection pattern. So far i shot 1 MOA at about 150 yards…. I think it will do better once I get more time with it.

    I have about 400 rounds through mine at this point. I have been incredibly busy and have yet to do any real group testing but my Berger and hornady 105 gr bthp with 28.3 gr of cfe .223 will ding a 10 in steel plate center mass at 500m on repeat. I’ll be taking it out to a thousand yards within the next 2 to 3 weeks using that load

    What accuracy were you getting out if that Brownells / Faxon barrel . I know I've found the 1in8 barrels have better accuracy with Factory Black or Match ammo.

  • @TheLibertyCompanyLLC
    @TheLibertyCompanyLLC2 жыл бұрын

    I handload all of my ammo so until I get my hands on some factory loads I can’t speak to their accuracy. I’ve had every intention of doing some accuracy tests but I had to move unexpectedly due to a rat infestation where I was living so my project has been on hold. I will be testing 100 gr interlock, 105 gr hornady match, 105 gr Berger, and 108 gr eld’s as soon as I get situated though. With both cfe .223, and accurate 2520. So far I haven’t had a group that’s blown my hair back but I’ve adjusted my overall length slightly and I’m hopefully going to be tightening that up as I progress in working up some loads. The 105 hornady match test load I used last time I shot was 2.25 oal, with 28.3 gr cfe 223 and it hit a 10” steel plate at 600 yards using a 4 mil holdover so it’s a reasonably accurate barrel. My goal behind this rifle was in no way to build a dmr rifle. I want an infantry style rifle capable of engaging targets out to 1000 yards.

    @@seanwhite304 is this out of a gas gun? If he’s pushing that velocity out of a 20 in he’s way beyond any published load data (which isn’t uncommon) but it’s not going to do any favors for his barrel life or his brass. Being that the brass I bought is about .75 cents a piece I’m not going to be pushing this quite that hard. I have a 6.5 cm counterpart that’s almost identical to this rifle in an m5 platform for that. With that being said I’ve been making bullets since I was a child and I’ve rarely found velocity and accuracy are synonymous. It can help with consistency for competition though if you’re loading hundreds of rounds

    @@TheLibertyCompanyLLC it is gas gun and I was wrong its 22" . Kenny from Eagle Eye is getting 2960 FPS with 105s out if his 26" Bolt gun . He has over 5k rounds fired through that barrel . Going off what he says 6ARC is not a barrel burner . Yes you are right velocity has nothing to do with accuracy . The load he uses for A-Tips I'm sure is not recommended and probably 31.5gr or higher knowing him He has also got up to 2810 FPS with 103G ELDX . Hell JRB channel has gotten damn near 3000 FPS with 18" 6ARC using 90g Sierra Game King .

    I've been using 6ARC from the get go . My 12.5" and 18" are my favorites. The 12.5 is 100% capable of 600 yards and can be used on medium sized game out to 200 yards. I'm getting about 2410 FPS with 105g BTHP , 106g TAP and 108g ELDM. I'm getting 2430 FPS with 103g ELDX. I'm getting 1570 FPS at 600 yards with almost 600 ft pounds of energy using 108g ELDM out if my 12.5". The 12.5" 6ARC is perfect for do all be all AR15 Pistol 600 yards and in . I'm getting 1.5 MOA or better . I'm not expecting SUB MOA out 12.5 that's meant to be Lightweight , Fast and durable . 5 for 5 on 10" plate at 600 yards is plenty accurate for me . Barrel life is incredible. Kenny from Eagle Eye has 5k plus at 2900 FPS and his barrel still shoots SUB MOA . The 6ARC is honestly the perfect cartridge to learn long range shooting for sure . Whether you are using 22" gas Gun or 26" Bolt Gun . You can expect awesome barrel life . I was lucky I picked up shit load of ammo when it was still 19.99 or 24.99. I've shot almost 600 rounds in total so I'm due to order more ammo that's for sure . I will be starting my hand load journey very soon . I have most of the stuff to start . I just lack the space . I was able to pick up some 110G A-TIP and 105g BTHP. So I'm gonna be excited if I can get 110g A-TIP at 2650 FPS and 1 MOA or better out of my 18" . That would be pretty insane cartridge if I can get it to work.. I have quite a few different 6ARC barrels . I have Faxon , Brownells / Faxon , Proof and B.A. Barrels . Faxon and BA so far have been the most consistent.

    So I build a lot of ar’s and I didn’t go with another ballistic advantage barrel because of the last 4 I’ve purchased two have been bad. 1 had major cosmetic blemishes and the other hit a 6 in group at 30 feet. They need to tighten up their quality control before I go back to them. The cosmetics is one thing, shitty but I can live with it. The poor group is another though. They make you jump through too many hoops to rma it too. I had to have my local gun shop do it for me because they have me so much trouble

    @@TheLibertyCompanyLLC I've heard of people having issues with BA 6ARC barrels . I got mine as soon as they came out . I really want to pick Desert Precision Gunworks Douglas 6ARC barrel . To my knowledge those are the absolute best. He has the most experience building and shooting them . His barrels are not super expensive either . I believe they are 700 and come with JP head spaced Bolt . That's far cry from 900 for proof CF barrel . 1.5 MOA or better at 600 yards and in is all I need . I think that's more than practical for accuracy. I get it though for PRS matches that might not fair well . My goal is to get better at shooting long range so I can work my way into PRS style matches with 6ARC .

    @@TheLibertyCompanyLLC A lot of companies are having QC issues because of the supply and demand . They are pumping them out fast as possible and surely some are slipping through the cracks . That's why I'm waiting until I get better to pick up Desert precision Gunworks 6arc barrel . Unfortunately good precision barrels are gonna cost way more than 300 bucks . 6ARC is still fairly new and still in the plug and play stage . It sometimes can take a while for the kinks fk get worked out . Thata why I just try to go for 1.5 MOA or better . 12" plate is roughly enter mass give or take . If you can go 3 for 3 at 12" plate at 800 yards that's damn good shooting

    I definitely will. I just got back from Utah and I managed to get some 100 gr hornady interlocks. I’m going to see how they do against a Berger/hornady 105 and an eld m. Didn’t find a video on it to see if it’s a viable option but velocities look promising so far.
