Hi. Do you know where we can buy little soaps in firenze? 2 years ago I went to bassano del grappa and bought some in Zeus Ceramiche, a shop just before the most beautiful bridge of the town.

Very helpful!! Can't wait to check it out. I have 24 hours in Venice and am looking forward to as many of these as I can cover. I have tried to map this in the order it appears on this video. Here is the embedded link to Google maps (there are 2 maps since Google will not let me map as many places): maps.app.goo.gl/rYr8AwoDCE3zprQ36 and maps.app.goo.gl/4LK6ioaPLVwaW8Hq7. If you hit all the places, you are looking at 3 Hours and 48 minutes of total walking + any public transport you want to take. It would be nice if someone would take the time to organize it for the best route to take to see all the sights. Happy non-tourism everyone!

I'm Italian too. My advice. Skip it. It's crowded even in early April. It's a smelly open sewer system. City is happy to take your money and then treat you like you're second class (e.g., can't even sit down on the piazza steps). Now they want to charge a fee just to be in the city on top of the hotel fee. No, thanks. Not going back.

My wife and I have visited Matera twice as it is only 2 and a half hours from the village of Montemarano in the Region of Campania which is where we stay each year as I have family there. The first time was in 2022 and we stayed 3 nights. The second time was around Christmas 2023 with our daughter, her husband and our 2 grandkids. We all absolutely loved the place. While you are there, you should visit the village of Grotolle which is about 30 minutes away. It's a lovely place and if you are there at night, go to a place called The Garrison Speakeasy to have a meal and drink and say hi to Fabio and his partner who own the restaurant/bar.

It can be argued that Venice's republican system took over not just Italy, but the entire western world. It has the main advantage of avoiding the typical insanity of autocrats, thus protecting public and business interests from the overconcentration of power and paralyzing corruption.
