Wouldn't you want some space from the icon to the text? I think that'd be important to show.

Thanks for this! I am having trouble with my export where it causes all my spaces and alignments to go away. If I export as a PDF, they are there, when I export as a a fixed layout ePub, they are there....but if I export as reflowable, it's all wonky. Do you have any tips?

Very bad practice, you don't have even lines and empty spaces at the bottom. Very bad, you should not teach this bad practices. It's disgusting to be honest.

I really think you need to have the Chapter with the corresponding title of the Chapter. You have a TOC without any sort of Chapter reference, and then you have a drop down TOC with Chapters and no chapter title. Very confusing for the reader. Consistency is everything.

Hi Krista, thanks for the demonstration. Been getting a lot of similar videos in my feed lately. As a retired bookbinder, I think your clamp/press is an interesting tool. There are a couple of things you could try to assist the flow of double fan binding. A larger brush, even a round one, can deliver glue quicker, so that the second fanning can happen sooner and easier. Also, if the spine is held securely in position, there is no reason not to apply the glue with "vertical" strokes, along the length of the spine. (If the top and bottom will not be trimmed later of course care must be taken to keep adhesive off.) If thinning of PVA is needed, water can be used, but glycerin can also improve flow without weakening from over thinning. Lastly, there is a non-woven material sold by bindery suppliers that can be used to backline the finished block from top to bottom. Cut to extend an inch or so onto the endpapers, it is glued off and stretched across the spine as it is applied to each side between thumb and fingers (it only stretches a little, and only in one direction, so it must be cut accordingly.) Then the volume can be removed from the clamp sooner and weighted on the table. Keep having fun!

Hi Haddad, What version of InDesign are you using? I did run into an issue when trying this in InDesign 2021 so I placed my text on the first page, as I normally would, then went to the next page and utilized the shift-click trick. But, ever since then I have not had that issue. Not sure if that will help or not. Good Luck.
