    I have Toyota head unit which stuck in boot loop. There is no obvious burning sign or default parts. How to test IC like yours with multimeter? There is no label on the IC.

    It to bad you don't show examples of what you're talking about. Otherwise, you post would be better for most people listening to what you're talking about.

    Spent another 20 minutes on it. My theory about channel select was right. Now weirdly I am getting Audio output to the TV, either directly hooked or up scaled to the USB/HDMI device. I am going to purchase a new video cable tomorrow as I have no continuity testing (multi meter). I have over 30 to 40 years of cables. So always amuses me, when I can't find one to use, easily. :) 'Murphies Law - How I got so good at fixing everything :). TV, is syncing correctly and is reporting it as 720P (NTSC resolution), but then fails to produce and output from there (A bit weird that?).

    Hi, I have come into possession of an (NTSC), Phillips VR255/75. As per usual second hand, no remote. I have only managed to find a 'Spec', sheet for it. But I was hoping there was away using the buttons on the device to force it to the 'AV', channel? It stops at one counting down, using the channel buttons. I suppose I better force it to count up to what I assume will be 99. It is not outputting off the leads to my modern TV. Funny as I can actually directly plug a PS2 in without having to use and Upscaler to HDMI. In between. Both Devices I have are showing as NTSC. We are on 50HZ, mains here in New Zealand and use the lower density Pal Standards for all our old broadcasts, prior to digital. I am kind of hoping my T.V. is clever enough to re-sync. The Upscaler is showing a display, so this sort of suggest that the T.V. is agnostic to Pal/NTSC conversion. Anyway upshot at moment now output, no remote. Thanks if you can help me. I used to do some of this work too. We used to buy in the rubber drive belts from another supplier. Used in so many mechanical devices right through. :)

    You seem to know your stuff on these volume pots, my question I am not a tech and need someone to rebuild my volume pot on my Pioneer sx1250 which is not not working now. If I send it to you will you try and rebuild it. I can pay for the repair. Please let me know.

    Glad to see you working on Alpine Gear, doesn't lend itself much confidence in the Brand though burning up like that and poor QC looking at loose transistor controllers, or you think that was just normal wear and tear?

    Soundbars are poorly made, they don't last. A good component 2 channel stereo will long outlast a television.

    Hi , would you please share a video of how you assemble its gearbox ?

  • @Pinthetic
    @Pinthetic3 ай бұрын

    I was contemplating this when I stumbled onto your video. I use my 123 on digital pinball MPU's and sound boards and have for years. I actually have two 123's. One here at home and one in my toolbox at the shop. I was tired of using it plugged into the charger. The original pack batteries had crimp tabs and the new ones do not, (as I suspect Fluke got them custom made), I had a few issues putting fresh solder onto the exposed surfaces maybe due to my fear of using too much heat but with some good flux was able to get enough for wire attachment. So, after assembling the pack it started charging the batteries at 5.6VDC. It went up to 5.8VDC at the end. I left it for 12 hours while monitoring the voltage with one of those cheap Chinese 3 digit meters. After disconnecting the charger it showed 5.1VDC across the battery pack. The scope turned on right away and looks good. It is now under the battery refresh mode. Next week I will tackle the other one. Thanks for the video!

    Sweet compound? What's the name of the stuff you put between that one part and the other part? The white plastic tube with white goo? I wish you were my neighbor. I shorted one of my only two out of five. You'd be my favorite neighbor. I loath circuitry lol

    mine wasn't the same model number but looked exactly like this one. Mine would only work when it was tipped to the right side. Wouldn't work holding it straight up or tipped to the left. I finally figured it out. I took battery out and bent the two contact points in just a little. Works fine now.

    It might not work after time slamming the lid down ? Prob help squeezing the lid trigger before opening & closing it ! Their not the best design ! I've had 2 envoys & both the rubber post were broken , people try to get in them too fast & when they open the lid they open it before the rubber post clears the console , they pull the top lid back & snaps the rubber post !! Amazon has them now 19 bucks than delivery charges on top of that !

    This ST 1500W powering my guitar amp. DVM Continuity test shows mains neutral across all recepticals, that have no ground so it's ground isolated; but neutral not so much. Is that any good for an isolation transformer or should I open and remove the neutral cross comnects to all ouyputs?
