Nice watch ❤
Going in 2 days no preparation new shoes wish me luck guys :D
O my haha!! That’s quite the adventure, hope you will enjoy the trail as much as we did!
im from ornskoldsvik. u are doing a great video!
Hi!! Thank you so much ❤️ We can’t wait to be back to the Hoga kusten
Nice 🙂👍
Thanks!
It’s very nice 😀 was it 3 months ago when you went there? How was the weather?
Thank you!! We were in Sardinia during September. For the time of the year it was super hot. Not usual. They recommend not hiking this trail during the summer months since it can be super hot and not much water to drink along the route. However, the trail itself is super pretty. We talked to someone from the organization who said that springtime is the most beautiful time in his opinion because of all the wild flowers
Very beautiful pictures and very informative and helpful video! Thank you! Have you walked the Kustenleden in September also like the Kungsleden?
Thank you so much! ❤️ Yeah, we’ve hiked the Hoga kustenleden in the middle/end of September. It’s the perfect timing if you ask us since it is not too cold and the autumn colors are really popping during this month
walked some stages years ago. This full hike will be on my to do list 😮❤
So cool! You will love the other stages for sure 😊
Heel mooi gedaan 👍👋
Dankjewel!
❤️❤️❤️
If I did not LIKE YOU TWO I will never see 13 minutes of advertisement 😜😜😜😜😜😜
Aaaaah that’s so sweet ❤️❤️ you watching 13 minutes of advertisement helps us to earn a little bit of money from our videos ❤️ So thank you so so so much!
I did not know this trail at all,but it looks so nice. What a great time you had ❤
Thank you! It is a well known trail in the BeNeLux, however, outside Belgium the Netherlands or Luxembourg it isn’t that well known. It was wonderful, thank you’
Heel gaaf toppers💪😊🥾
Weer super mooi gedaan.👍
Dankjewel!
Great tips!! thank you guys for the thoughtful feedback, super helpful
You are welcome!
❤ Thanks for making a girlie version. How did the Frogg Toggs hold up in the rain? ☔
You're welcome ❤ The jacket holds up like the best! Still my nr1 rain jacket

Trekking poles are not necessary. We human beings have evolved not to need them.
Have you hiked the TMB?
@@Hikaholics hi, yes - solo’ed it in 6 days in Jul 2022. I appreciate that my opinion is somewhat contrary to the mainstream. Spent many years without poles, then many with poles - and now reverted back to without.
Amazing! If you can do it in 6 days then you’re def not mainstream 💪 these tips are for the average TMB hiker. If you are trained, trekking poles are not needed but unfortunately we saw so many untrained hikers on the TMB. Hence the trekking pole tip 🙏
Did you know that human beings have evolved to not need boots or backpacks?😂
Has the plumafill maintained the shape and warmth after washing the jacket many times?
We don't wash it too many times. Only when necessary. But the jacket always kept me warm. Don't have the jacket anymore right now
Very informative video, thanks. I am curious to know if all the view points you mentioned in the video can be covered in a day (considering long queues during summer time). I am planning to visit Chamonix end of this month for a day (~12 hours).
Thank you! Yes we did this in 1 day as well. Take the earliest cable car up to Midi and the latest down at Le Brevent ❤ Enjoy Chamonix!
Thanks for this informative video.
You're welcome ❤
Congratulations, it is a beautiful documentary! Greetings from Colombia South America, I will do the TMB this year
Thank you so much!! Amazing to hear that you are going to hike this beautiful trail! How is hiking in Colombia? Greetings, this time from The Netherlands
👍👍👍
❤❤❤
You two are so fun together. We have enjoyed several of your videos as we prepare to hike the TMB this June
thank you so much!! We love to hear that! Good luck on the TMB! Let us know how it went ❤
I have some question about stage nine where are you started at Gite Du Moulin and ended the day at Lac Blanc. Do you have the stats for the day? How many kilometers, how many meters elevation gain and loss, and how many hours? On the map it looks like it is not the traditional TMB route but a variant. Do you not get the ladders if you go on the traditional route? Thanks so much for clarifying this for me!😅
It was a short hike (6km) to Lac Blanc with 1000m of evelation gain. It should take about 3hrs but it took us longer because we were shooting videos. The original route doesn't' t go to Lac Blanc but past the underlying lakes. The original route passes the ladders as well. There are a couple more ladders to reach Lac Blanc (variant). Hope this helps?
OK, thanks so much. I wish there were more lodging options further. Ideally, there would be something between La Flégère and Bellachat for a six hour (or so) hiking day… I think we will settle with La Flégère and have an easy 4 hour day. Thanks again
It’s a really beautiful section so enjoy the surroundings and take it slow 😍
Nice video. The scenery is amazing. Hope i will get to do the TMB too. A question whould be ,how much money do you need to spend avrage on the route?
Thank you! It really depends on a lot. Sleeping in huts is more expensive than camping. Stocking up on groceries is cheaper than having lunch at all the huts. But I think around 1000 euros per person. Hope this helps a bit? Hope you are going to hike the TMB ❤
@@Hikaholics thank you for answering
what an amazing place! do you think it's suitable for moderate hikers?
Thank you!! It is definitely a place for moderate hikers. You can shorten your day as well and there are so many options for day hikes and multiple day hikes
@@Hikaholics thanks so much. I was looking for a nice website to find the huts....do you know of a place online to figure it out to do the bookings for huts?
It was amazing documentary and fabulous sceneries. Is it allowed to setupt a tent there? how much does the huts cost? thank you
Thank you so much! Camping is only allowed at some huts and prices vary a lot. Best to check all the huts and their prices. Going to hike the TMB?

Is wild camping allowed ?
Wild camping along the TMB is a bit complicated. The trail passes through three countries and several local municipalities, each with their own specific rules and regulations. Generally speaking, wild camping may be allowed in France at high altitudes between sunset and sunrise, it may be permitted above 2,500 meters (from dusk until dawn) in Italy, and it is strictly forbidden in Switzerland. There are multiple designated camping spots along the trail
thanks for sharing !!! Your video helps a lot ! I have a question please. Did you take the ''MONT BLANC UNLIMITED ticket '' or the ''STAY PASS 100% PEDESTRIANS ticket '' to have access to the 3 activities ?
You're welcome! Take the Mont Blanc Unlimeted ticket. You will have access to the 3 acitivities and a lot more (all the cable cars)
@@Hikaholicsthanks
I noticed that with nearly all tour du Mont Blanc videos that there isn’t any mention as to how the accommodations were booked. I wanted to know if you would be willing share how you successfully booked all of the huts you stayed the night in. For example, if you used a booking service or if you booked separately and if so, how you had to secure your bookings and things we should know if we are trying to book?
Great question! This is purely an inspirational and informative video about the trail itself. We will be creating a ‘how to plan the TMB’-video soon to cover that topic. We did book all the huts ourselves and used this website for planning www.montourdumontblanc.com/uk/ We had to do a few cancelations due to late booking. And that did cost us a bit. The biggest tip is to start booking early!
I was born in USA, but my family is from Netherlands. Cool pack, nice review.
Thank you! What is your go to backpack?
@Hikaholics currently Osprey Stratos, but I'm looking for something different.
Do I need to buy tickets for the cable car and gondola ahead of time?
Hi! No you can buy them there :) When are you visiting Chamonix?
Hi, I kindly wanted to know what footwear you use for this tour of Mont Blanc, thanks and greetings from Italy.
Hi! We both use Altra Lone Peaks. You can check our packlists in this TMB playlist: kzread.info/head/PLMWlxKICM2aZ0kgS9YXIVrfSGAH1L_Hj8 Hope this helps!
@@Hikaholics than you, can you tell me the exact model please? Did you do the whole tour in these shoes?
Did you poop in that water? Because it sounds like you did
LOL
i'm thinking about do it in 10 days in summer 2025
Oh nice! 10 days is doable for sure! Let us know if you have any questions
Great video! Thanks for all the helpful tips. I'm planning a hike on the Kungsleden and was wondering what the recommended comfort rating for a sleeping bag should be? Could you or anyone here advise on the ideal temperature rating for a sleeping bag to ensure comfort during the nights? Thanks in advance!
Thanks! It really depends on when you are going to hike the Kungsleden. September is a lot colder than july/august. We had a -13 and -8 degrees celsius sleeping bag and that was on the limit for us. But important note: Your sleeping pad is also really important for sleeping in colder temperatures. Our sleeping pad was a bit to cold during these -6 degrees celsius nights. Hope this helps a bit?
Very well done TMB complete video, love the music.
Thank you so much! Planning on hiking the TMB as well?
Great info you two ! I'm thinking about giving the TMB a try this coming Sept starting starting the 7th - your full video of the stages inspired me ! I'd like to book my own refuges as you did and hoping they're not all booked up already. I have a lot research to do beforehand to make sure I choose the right ones - I think I can do it, or at least I hope so. Thanks for the all the videos. Gonna hit up Patreon.✌🏻
Thanks Perk! September is really beautiful in the mountains. let us know if we can help you with anything! Speak to you on Patreon!
I really enjoy your videos. I really enjoy your communication style, info, etc. I have adopted Alette’s words for the gifts of the trails: Trail Angels, Trail gifts, Trail Magic, etc. And love the music choices. Can’t stop watching!
Thank you!! Much more to come!
And what about snacks? 🍫🍬🍌
Also as important!
Your words are valuable, especially for me. I will go alone. What is the appropriate path for me so that I do not feel lonely? Thank you.
Thanks! Just follow the main trails of the TMB. You won't be alone :)
Thank you for reviewing this sleeping bag! Cumulus indeed makes amazing gear. I think I will add Panyam 600 to my selection. I already use their Quilt 350 and Lite Line 400 and I am very satisfied.
Hi. Can you share your view on the lite line 400 vs quilt 350?
@@middot2513 it is like a "sleeping bag vs quilt" kind of question. There is a couple of videos about this topic on KZread already. As for the temperature performance of these two products from Cumulus, they are the same thing. The difference is in style of sleeping. I use the Quilt 350 and my girlfriend uses the Lite Line 400 on the same trips. When used correctly it really gives the temp comfort of 2 Celsius (used with Thermarest Xlite). I would maybe suggest a Lite Line for a female and a Quilt 350 for a male (if "standard"). I hope it helped.
Thanks! We love Cumulus. We would love to try the quilts in the future as well!
Hello, could you please tell me about the alternative route to avoid the TMB ladders? Adding how much time and distance? Thanks
Hi Ricardo, think we already answered you via email. HAPPY TRAILS!!!
Hello! I would like to know more about the alternative option to avoid the TMB ladders. Is it an easy and doable option? I mean, the alternative route would add how much time and distance? Also, how easy or difficult are the LADDERS? Thank you!
Hi Ricardo, think we already answered you via email. HAPPY TRAILS!!!
Hi guys. May I ask what shoes you wore? I’m so confused. I would much rather wear shoes than boots.
Hi, we are wearing trail runners. Altra Lone Peak's. You can check our full gear list in this playlist: kzread.info/head/PLMWlxKICM2aZ0kgS9YXIVrfSGAH1L_Hj8 We rather wear shoes than boots as well!
Very few people compared to the Tour du Mont Blanc. I like the idea of starting with the Karwendel Mountains as a practice for the TMB. That was quite a challenge!...Thank you so much for sharing your travels!...
yes way less people indeed! This can be a great training for the TMB for sure. When are you planning to go on these amazing trips?
