You know what, I know some people loved the game itself, some found it mid, others just flat out didn't like it. Me personally? I loved it. From beginning to that amazing ending. I loved the story, the characters, the VA, the silly moments, the intense moments, I loved it all. And the soundtrack was the wonderful cherry on top of it all for me. To the developers? Goodbye Volcano High was a special kind of game. The kind of narrative experience I felt like I had waited years to sink into. For all the drama and bullshit people heaped on it, the game didn't really go heavy handed on the whole gender politics thing.

Might have been helpful to have song themes, they're good don't get me wrong but having them play in the background randomly with pauses without control nor the game deciding if the mood is fitting the songs don't really work up that well. In Fortress there is only one real mood and the combat music does overwrite once playing the same track till it starts rotating normal music again but in adventure fully random ruins it. What mood would this even entail I do hopeeach song gets like 3 versions each where one's peaceful, one's riding exploring (It'd be this song) and one combat. Much like FTL having the music adapt to what's happening makes the songs have purpose couldn't imagine playing music while making adventure characters right now it just doesn't fit. It'd be alot more deep than have a calm and a combat alternate soundtrack it might also interrupt good songs so perhaps the FTL way of layers!
