That caught my attention too then I played it back & saw that Jay shook Mikey's hand first, then Rivers, Brian, then back over to the guy behind Mikey which made it appear that way. He held it together for the performance. Great bass player. RIP Mikey.

I met David Pajo at Columbus Ohio airport…this was after Zwan, and told him how I went to see them 3 times…he was happy to hear it…but I don’t think he is a big fan of Billy, so I didn’t want to ouch the issue…good guy it seems though…I think he appreciated being recognized.

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened to Zwan. I remember Billy hinting at there being too much partying and shit going on, but who really knows? I saw them twice back in the day and always thought they were better live than what their album portrayed.

@@garrethboland5646 Billy said they were partying and sleeping with each other…Pajo said that Billy only adopted his “religious” persona to make more money…He said that Billy would go around and just tell David how big of a star Billy was and how famous his songs were…at first, he thought Billy was just being funny, but not so much later on…He then compared him to Alan Partridge, if you know who that is… now he didn’t say any of this to me, but I read this an interview that he had given to someone it’s probably online somewhere still and I mentioned that I had read what he had said about Billy and I couldn’t tell if he was weirded out by it or not so I just dropped it

I also wonder what Jimmy though of the situation. Pajo got me into TNT by Tortoise, which I still think is a great record.

Billy took the recording process ultra-seriously &. Authoritatively b/c he knew fans and critics had expectations. But the other band members that were not used to this kind of recording budget started ordering expensive food and just wanted to jam still. So there was resentment both ways, and before you know it they broke a up.

I was friends with Jerry’s son in grade school, the boy in the jacket signing the sign in the opening. I remember his dad coming into our class to show us this when they finished it. Very cool. Jerry is a great guy. So humble and kind.

Mikey had far more class than Leno or anyone who worked for him. In a more perfect world. Mikey would be alive and Leno would be underground.
