  I get that they're practising and that's all good, but why are they practising on the stage? Shouldn't they have warmed up beforehand? I understand that things happen, and warmups are necessary but on the stage seems a bit odd. My orchestra has never practised ON the stage.

  In my orchestra, you're not allowed to play backstage, because it might interrupt the other concerts going on. We always warm up on stage.
