    Nice mods! If you're retiring the car, maybe next try tracking a motorcycle. No one wants to ride bikes in traffic anymore, but on a track, with gear, they just slide and get up after a bad corner. Also sidecar racing looks like so much fun. Just need a partner to throw themselves around to counter balance the rig in corners.

    I watched day 2 first, but noticeable improvement in skill and what a great instructor. The wall proximity on this track would make me more nervous - also seems like a more technical track than NJMP, with worse spectator view points, if that is even possible. Thanks for posting this series!

  • @FujiboHeavy
    @FujiboHeavy13 күн бұрын

    Thanks Sam! Bonnie learned quickly and drove well despite the 95F+ temps. I dont know how she did it. I agree with you on the walls! Lots of elevation change/turns. It was hard for me to find good spots for shooting from outside as well. I may actually sign up for this track next year because of how technical it is 😎

    It’s a great basic blower that will do the job, but you do need at least 2 fully charged 4amp batteries for a large car. Otherwise it’s good enough for the wheels and grill.

    Ew at least use connectors on the wires lol. Probably good to test it first w tape I guess. W 3 wires twisted like that you can put a button connector over the end. Put the connector in the crimper and make sure it has the metal over the wire where you crimp it.

    No. If your car starts to have the same code as mine, the car can unxpectedly go into "limp mode", which will not allow you to go past 30mph, or over 3k rpm. Not safe to drive on public roads, if you have these specific codes/symptoms

    Prior to buying my 2024 Corolla HB, I did a lot of research on the direct shift CVT, and the only report of a CVT failure I could find is yours and yours alone. Considering your CVT failed at the track and there are not any other reports, I'm confident this CVT will last for a long, long time!

  • @FujiboHeavy
    @FujiboHeavy25 күн бұрын

    The 2019 models had 3k+ recalls for torque converter failure. 2020 models including mine and 3 other owners I spoke with directly had the same failure as mine from normal driving but was replaced under warranty. Mine would have been replaced under warranty since it was completely stock. I could have lied and said the failure happened while I was merging on a highway, but I wanted to be honest. All good tho, and lesson learned. I sure hope no one else has to deal with this long term, but I wanted to document my specific experience with transparency

    We have the 22 BRZ manual (so no Eyesight) and got the Subaru sunshade (directly from Subaru). It looks like the same construction as the Covercraft - rigid panels etc. It also fits perfectly. Wouldn't be surprised if Subi is sourcing their branded shades from Covercraft.
