@@DarceyPittman I was very fortunate to be accepted during the RD round this year. All of my friends got rejected or waitlisted except one, they all had 4.0GPA and great offers (Stanford, UCLA, USC, Tufts etc.). The accepted one got deferred from Stern and had a 1570SAT. The ED round was so much different however which was kind of jarring. We had two admits who were far bellow the standard of the RD round with one not even passing the average grade of our school. College admissions are crazy nowadays and I'm glad it's over.
Congrats on your acceptance!! Yes, I do not envy those applying to college these days it’s ridiculously competitive (and expensive). So many qualified candidates like your friends who are disappointed. Transferring is always another option for them! Not sure I would’ve gotten in as a first year admit if I had applied as a hs senior. 😅

Is your pup a Jack Russell mix? I am considering moving my Jack Russell terrier to NYC and he’s so high energy and I’m concerned about him not having enough open spaces to run.
Yes he is a JRT mix! Mine is very high energy too. It can be challenging at times but I find all the stimulation helps to tire him out- so many smells and places to explore. He never gets bored here! Vs when I visit family in the suburbs he gets bored so fast. There’s also tons of dog parks for off leash time.

NYU Tisch has been my dream school since I was 14. Found out today that I was rejected for the film program :/ I’m heartbroken, but am planning to apply as a transfer student. Do you think it’s worth applying again?
I’m so sorry for you! Rejection feels awful. But yes, I’d recommend you apply as a transfer! It can still be very competitive but it does put you in a smaller pool of applicants which can help.

How many semesters in this program?
If you do it full time, it’s 4 semesters. Some folks do it part-time so it’s more around 6 semesters then. Hope that helps!
