    Hey man doing the same swap at the moment. Without the sound synposer system in the regular ST motors. What did you do to the vacuum recirc that comes from the BOV?

  • @gapperformance
    @gapperformance2 күн бұрын

    So I’m not sure I understand exactly what you’re referring to. 1. I did remove the sound symposer entirely and capped it at the firewall 2. I ran true boost reference from the intake manifold and routed it to the bov and used a defeat plug to trick the computer into thinking it was still plugged in. I never liked how aftermarket bov worked with the electronic control. I don’t remember having recirc just vent to atmosphere

  • @gapperformance
    @gapperformance7 күн бұрын

    I did because it wasn’t too expensive and I figured if it was worn out from previous abuse, I would rather go in there to fix everything once. You could definitely epoxy the piece back on for cheap, but if you can find a shifter mechanism for cheap it’s not that hard and definitely worth doing

    Hey just to clarify, the ez tap is reverse threaded so you use hand tools to back that in counter clockwise. Then do you keep going counter clockwise to back out the spark plug threads? Then you said you used those needle nose pliers to pull it out once you’ve got it completely out of the threads and free.
