    No! the GE90 is one of the wide body loudest jet engines. It is even louder than the PW4000-112. Especially the GE90-94B.

    It’s so stupid the government is going with upgrades to the current P and W engines. We have spent all this money on the program already, might as well go all in. These should have been in from the start. Maybe if they use your engines the block 4 upgrades might finally work properly 😂

    Thanks guys 😂 great mile stone. We have a lot of job when replacing them every 2-3 yrs. On previous CFM 56-7 no problem at all.

    The CF6 is a descendent & development of the TF-39, but I do have a question. In the TF-39 the booster stage is in front of the big fan, while in the CF6 and every engine afterwards the booster stage in behind the main fan. Why the change in philosophy?

    RR must still be reluctant to use all composite fan blades since their RB-211 fiasco with composites. They use titanium in their fan blades.
