I really don't like how the new DCAU handled this storyline, but what's done is done.

As a major *Gotham* fanboy, I feel obligated to state that _aCtUaLlY_ , the look that you presented as his first one (19m20s) is actually his third look, played by David W Thompson. Quick recap, as this show has given us 4 great designs for Jonathan Crane just in season 4 alone => -First Scarecrow look: Season 4 episodes 1 ("Pax Penguina") & 2 ("The Fear Reaper"), played by the great Charlie Tahan, last seen in season 1 (this is my favorite Scarecrow costume from this show). -Second Scarecrow: Season 4 episode 16 ("One of my 3 soups"), the costume that Jonathan Crane puts together in Arkham Asylum, just a bag over his head by his voice, demeanor and walk all look great; very simple look, but like Mad Hatter's it has a "cosplay/DIY" charm to it; the version that Jérôme calls "Bag Head". Played by Charlie Tahan's replacement, who got a big role in the show _Ozark_ and decided to leave, and since "Ozark" was a huge hit, it was probably a good career move) David W Thompson. - Third Scarecrow: the "bag head" that you presented as his first look, inspired by his *Arkham Knight* design, from the hood to the special syringes gloves/gas dispensers => Season 4 episodes 17 ("Mandatory Brunch Meeting") & 18 ("That's Entertainment") & 21 ("One Bad Day") -Fourth Scarecrow, the one that you presented as the second one in your ranking => season 4 episode 22 ("No Man's Land"), the first of his costumes with the snazzy hat, that he'll keep in season 5 when he has his whole gang and all. ...ok, now that this *Gotham* itch has been scratched, time to move on to *Titans* ! I'm in the minority that actually enjoyed Dr Crane in season 3! (at least in the first half)... it's just a shame that Vincent Kartheiser never got to wear that badass Scarecrow mask that he finds in the Batcave, but oh well...

I just ready Vol 1 (chapters 1-6) yesterday. I agree with you... that part where "Sparky" entered into the matrix is really bad. There would be more better ways to sacrifice Sparkplug, if it was necessary for the story. Or at least if it was explained how the matrix drain lifeforce or something from living beings (organic or not), so that it made some kind of sense.

I have truly mixed feelings about Skybound's run so far. The violence feels gritty and uncomfortable (a positive), and the characters are great (Optimus, Starscream, Soundwave, etc.). My only issue so far is... how dead is dead? It feels kinda wishy-washy at the moment. We've seen a lot of characters die so far, which would be really impactful as a "war is hell" kinda deal, but we've also seen some be brought back to life. That said, its really my only critique so far. Everything else is freaking perfect.

IDW may have lasted the longest as transformers goes but it set the bar pretty low IMO. This does look like typical Kirkman, toon style with adult violence and adolescent themes. Sounds better but still not my personal preferrence.

It was my introduction to the dcau and I'm somewhat glad for that, mainly because nothing else fazed me afterward. Not even the Brainiac body-horror in Justice League. Though, I do wish I had the context for "Out of the Past" when I watched it the first time.

I'm absolutely loving this inner John universe. This Transformers is the greatest thing they put out in years and I like how you put that this Optimus is strong enough to be gentle just like Peter Cullen described. You're so right on point

If only we lived in a universe where studios didnt hold back creators with censorship. imagine what this show could have been if it was unhindered by restrictions. a true dark masterpiece. although it could be argued that in some cases the restrictions resulted in creative solutions/work arounds that ended up being even more twisted than the original concept such as the case with the jokers laughing gas replacing him just killing people
