Oh my gosh, it came out so beautifully! Your dress is very similar in shape to a dress I’ve been planning (I splurged and bought some cute kitty themed fabric from spoon flower for it 😮) and this was so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to film and edit this 😊

I'm only a minute in so far and this is so relatable... The guilt of spending time on anything that isn't perpetuating your business and the mad rush to finish a gown right before the event- it's like you watched my life like a movie! 🤣

Is it OK to use a cake board as the base? This is the second A-frame video I've seen using gingerbread as a base so just wondering if there's a reason for that! Thanks

Yes, you can definitely use cake board. I did a cookie base because I had enough dough and didn't want to waste it. Your base can be anything that your icing will stick to and is food safe.

@@toriblackaby2211 Thank you! It's called isomalt, it's a type of sugar made from beets I believe. It's easier to melt than regular sugar though, so it's perfect for this.

You could definitely make a chain version with the same technique using jump rings instead of connector beads! Good luck on yours!

I'm working on a blog post to share my exact pattern, but in the meantime, here is a tutorial that shows the beadweaving process step by step: www.goldenagebeads.com/blog/beadweaving-tutorial-how-to-do-horizontal-netting-stitch.html I basically did this technique but with bigger beads. It's kind of one of those things that you have to physically try it with your hands to understand how to work with and adapt it.
