Also a tip, if you are on a sloop and a brig or galleon comes to you and you want to get away from them, go directly against the wind as the sloop is faster than the other two ships when sailing against the wind

Big mistake parking with the anchor. When you park, and ESPECIALLY solo, never anchor. You can use the anchor to come to a stop, but then raise your sails and raise your anchor. This way, if you have to make a quick escape, you can just lower the sails in a split second and go, without having to waste time raising your anchor.

Artillery is best used on bots. It's very effective at crushing bot bases and bots have AA emplacement that can block Eagle calldowns The barrage are very inconsistent at hitting bug holes and the bugs tend to move to close on you too fast for it to do much to them. The gatling barrage can do work but the best artillery strats vs bugs are the laser and railgun for fairly obvious reasons.

Arty barrage is hella inconsistent and a hazard to use. It's only real good use is for the giant robot bases and even then I usually rack up 10 kills maybe. Imo it should be more aimed. Especially considering the same destroyer is placing precision railgun blasts on tanks. Maybe we should be able to chose the area on the map or something, I really don't know, but as it is they are really not great.

The reason why it feels weak is because in the video, and you yourself, 2 light arty were called in. Just two. Call in a 380, a 120, a walking, and an eagle strike, then nothing in the game survives (can wipe entire heavy nests this way, eagle airstrike is overkill, can just throw and set and forget and run away!)

@@mikebasketball11 if I need 4 strategems to do the job of a single grenade launcher then I'll pass. Especially that soon we are getting the grenade launcher pistol, no strategems needed and just blow all holes and factories from safe distance. Barrages should have homing on them, otherwise they are useless.

@@HalIOfFamer Hmmm, you need a direct line of sight, plus need to be close enough, plus need the angle, to get a grenade into a nest/fabricator. With barrages, you don't aim shit, you throw it from 100m away and can leave and it's done. Very different from having to approach and aim nades into each little nest. I hear you though!

You need the 380mm ASWELL, once you have enough artillery you'll get 'saturation' whereby 100% of the area is hit, and thus everything dies... once you throw 4-6 artillery in, nothing in the game survives. its a hidden OP build, but you literally need 1 guy to go 4 artillery and someone else to chuck 1-2 extra in and its GG. Can wipe multiple bile titans,chargers, 100+ enemies, large nests, eggs etc.

The 120mm and 380mm are bait. The spread is always too wide to hit anything and it always hits in a large ring, never on the centre. Wasted spot (better alternatives, eagle rocket pod, ems orbit, railcannon better in nearly every situation.) Also when you need an orbital most youre always in a close quarter situation so its never clutch

@graczowiec developers obsessed with "balance" thinking the longer cool down isn't balance enough, its gotta do zero damage and have zero accuracy too. Most strategems aren't actually worth it, like why would you ever take gatling of machine gun sentry (no ammo, dies in one hit) over railgun support, mortar, 500kg bomb, etc. Just you wait they'll see no one using this shit and think "obviously railgun and eagle strikes are too strong!"

120mm is great for big bug bases and 380mm is extremely helpful for large Bot bases. About 30% of the time they don't fully clear the base for you, but they do enough carnage mop up is easy. But most of the time you can drop them on a base and wait for the "eradicated" message

@@matthewdeklerk3457 nobody has problem with starter weapons in games, why do you have a problem with starter strategems? But you are wrong for another reason - the stratagems that aren't great for high level bugs/bots will shine against the squids. Strafing run was boss versus Level 13+ Illuminates in the first game.

Trust me, when you overlap the 120 and the 380 with a walking barrage, and throw all that in the centre of even a large bug nest/base, watch the entire thing drop. Get TWO players to do that? And everything infront of you turns into dust. Throw just a single 120 or 380 and then come complain on oyutube, ofc that alone is a piss weak strike :)

Haven't got this game yet so not sure what weapons are included. But I'm really hoping to keep my old loadout of the Tanto short range laser and C4 detonation packs. Used to love using that with my jetpack and emp slow fiield.
