Would be cool if they included the path around Barangaroo Reserve. My biggest wish however would be for the race to be moved to a cooler time of the year 10 to 15C would be ideal. 😊

Glad they have moved the start. Way too many people to try to leave from Milsons Point. It took me 28 minutes to cross the start line. There was good atmosphere in Centennial Park in 23, the heat on that day was so overwhelming it really affected everyone's enjoyment.

Hi, I had a similar experience this day too, wanted a 1:25 but ran a 1:32 after a few days to reflect was still an awesome time and I have plenty to be grateful for. Good on you as well, I liked that tattoo idea. Subscribed 👌👍

I SCREAMED at 3:42 first KM and the screamed again when you said "1 min 30 pacer" instead of 1 hour 30 HAHA! We LOVE a chaotic race day!

Best not to think about the money spent 😂👍 I have just ticked off Marathon #23 by returning to Paris where I also ran my first in 2016. Think that I have done 12 different countries and 3 continents so far. Would have thought anyone mad who suggested that to me 10 years ago. Now saving for Boston 2025 (which will be my 4th Major not that I have ever had my eye on the 6⭐'s).

@@MarathonHarry I had a really poor run but still enjoyed it as lots of friends running it. Paris also became the biggest Marathon ever in terms of Finishers with 54,000+ runners completing the course this year.

hai, im from indonesia, im planning to do my first marathon in sydney 2024. i just received email from sydney marathon that says the marathon starting time will be at 6:00 am. is that going to be a problem if i using public transport to reach the starting point? i never been to sydney before

Hey! Sydney Marathon are great at working with the city to make sure that there's public transport to the start line. There will be thousands of people in the same position! As long as you're staying reasonably central in Sydney it shouldn't be a problem at all :)

I been WAITING for someone to make a video on this! I have told so many running friends I have no idea how Sydney would become a major marathon with all those out and backs as its not what a world major is about.... These changes look SO much better, only a same you can't head up a different road prior to centennial back as those long stretches of seeing running go the other way is brutal! Really stepped up their game with this!

Absolutely loved it! It was such a different experience culturally to all of the other majors, but in the best way. The Japanese volunteers were so sweet! The course is amazing - a very cool city to run a marathon in.

Congratulations, that's so exciting! I stayed at the Citadines in Shinjuku which was about a 30 minute walk from the start line. Trains in Tokyo are great, but can be a bit confusing so I preferred to stay near the start line and get a train back at the end of the race. It was pretty affordable and a good hotel, close to restaurants and bars for post-race celebrations too! :)

It’s so hard to pick! I’ve loved them all for different reasons. The NYC experience is unmatched, culturally Tokyo was so unique. Chicago was hassle-free with a great course. And spoiler, but I loved running over tower bridge in London
