TRINITARIAN: WELL DUH!!! 🫵😲 The "Son of man" was the most stoic human that's ever walked the face of the earth 👊😄😚😉😎💞✝️
For Christians, salvation indeed comes from Christ and you are saved by faith, however, faith cannot exist without works. Works are things like love, self-discipline, and practicing other virtues. If one does not cultivate these things in their personal life they do not have authentic faith in Christ. Therefore the Stoics and the Christians both agree that a person should work on self-improvement.
We should do that, but also fully rely on God to guide and sustain us.
Thinking questions like this "Can X be Y?" is called "intersectionality" and it's super cringey.
No they cannot be in conjunction. The Word of God contains all that is needed to live on this chaotic world because it is the Holy Spirit that leads the Christian into all Truth, Life & the Way which Jesus.
stoicism also influenced the developement of christian monasticism through middle platonism or so ji am told.
Seneca teachings are beyond solid…GREATEST TEACHER EVER
Stoic christians are called ascetics
I am stoic christian
The first stoics were devout pagans with a similar idea of virtue so christians being stoics doesn’t seem strange.
Incredible vid
Thank you. Glad you liked it!
What good is stoicism when you don't go live for God?
Well, you can be one with God. Hristos himself.
Weather our destiny is from god or not philosophy or to be our defense- Seneca

Did you write the essay for this video? Or was it Ai made? It was great
I researched and wrote it myself. Thank you.
I added links to some of the sources of my readings for this video, if you want to dig deeper. :)
There is a great snag in stoicism that prevents them from being christians. People that have problems are self destroyers according to stoics which invented a definition for such people saying do not familiarise yourslf with them or have them for company for the are "losers". And down and out people need help not discarding.
Funny, yes it is. This is the core principle of the Catholic church. Thats why we have the ancient writings, they where copied by monks.
The RCC followed right into the teachings of Agustine's belief into stoicism. This is the result of pagan doctrines developed from the start. People need to read the scriptures with an attitude of developing a "relationship" with The Savior and not with man-made religious rules & pope's dominance & tyrany.
Brilliant presentation.
Thank you, sir. I am still early in my own journey of learning. I am hoping this helps others frame their own studies.
Wisdom, courage, temperance and justice are hardly unique to Stoicism…these virtues predate both Stoicism and Christianity in space and time…
Nothing predates Christianity because the Universe was made for Christ.
@@ECLECTRIC_EDITS semantics aside, I agree in principle…although, both John’s gospel and Paul’s letter to the Colossians are clear that ‘the universe’ was made BY Christ, not FOR Christ…

Thank you for sharing feedback.
You can do this. I have gone beyond self-created fears.
Thank you for sharing your words of encouragement. We could all do with support.
True Stoic would never care for such a video....
You're right. This video is meant for those who are still early in their Stoic journey.
One quote is repeated in your list. 5 and 1.
Sorry about that. We will do our best to catch errors moving forward. Thank you.
