    Something was told to me a number of years ago regarding fake or true: The Soviets were watching this very closely and never called out the USA for it being fake. If the Soviets had any reason to think it was fake, believe me, they would have made it know to the world. For this, we did go to the moon.

    On Apollo 14, the camera pointed out the window of the LM at liftoff was pointed _directly_ at the flag which blew around wildly as the rocket fired and the LM took off. So, are you deliberately lying or just never looked? Besides which, if you think they faked it, why couldn't they fake the flags moving too?

    There isn't any need to deliberate too far, for an agonising stretch of imagination. The video recordings of craft descending and ascending is enough of a dead give away. Was the person doing the recordings, dead on the Moon? Assuming the technology of sending the signals of the recordings back to earth (or to the craft) were sufficiently capable of doing the job, then. Assuming the recordings /signals transmissions of very high resolution real time moving images over an enormously vast distances for reception were done by man made mutually corresponding machines(and not human)then the technology required is only available Now, and was not, in the sixties.

  • @jmp4177
    @jmp417721 сағат бұрын

    Correct. If the transmissions were coming from anywhere other than the Apollo flight path that would've been immediately obvious - not just to the Soviets - but also to radio operators all across the world. For example, the missions were tracked at multiple observatories, such as Jodrell Bank in the UK and Bochum Observatory in Germany. Also the tracking stations that were part of the Deep Space Network, such as those in Australia and Spain, helped relay communications from the astronauts to mission control and these were staffed by non-NASA personnel. Apart from the observatories, there were also many amateur radio operators, such as Larry Baysinger in Kentucky, that were able to eavesdrop on communications. And every second of the radio communications between the astronauts and NASA has been archived and is easily accessible online. I don't see how anyone could possibly listen to them, and think there was even a possibility that they some how faked hundreds of hours of radio chatter, and fooled the world into believing the transmissions were coming from space and from the lunar surface. It's not even in the realm of possibility.

    Which iteration was that, dewdrop? The original intent was to put about a dozen people on the moon for months at a time, and to do it with direct ascent. Yes, this would require a rocket many times larger than the Saturn V. Eventually, Apollo's mission profile kept getting whittled down to a craft only capable of taking two astronauts down to the lunar surface for between 22 and 74 hours. Which exact iteration are you referring to? And, why do you think you understand a topic that you clearly don't?
