Even doing your homework, and studying ahead of time before visiting a poor country, unexpected surprises will appear at times. I can fully understand your health issues at the bungalow. My best friend has serious asthma issues. I’ve seen what asthma attacks can do to a person. A few items that I can go ballistic over when traveling are: Language barrier (I might know six words of French). Squat toilets. Insects crawling around in my hotel room. Dirty garbage/litter strewn about in the streets of a city. One has to be a real trooper/cowboy to take on customs or factual living conditions when traveling to some of these places. I for one, am not one of those. I do give you and Kring credit and honors for traveling Madagascar, and sharing the experience. A place that is not all that common to visit.

I don’t recall ever seeing any video(s) on Madagascar until you and Kring came here yourself. Traveling the country, you’ve shown us rain forests, mountains, desert areas, and yes, animals not found anywhere else in the world. It is a unique place. This is a poor country, and its obvious people work very hard to survive. They make the best of what they have, and find ingenious ways to make things work, when they don’t have proper or necessary materials to complete a job. I give these people credit for doing their best to keep the streets clean. There are many other countries (which I’m sure you know) that are filthy and unhealthy. It is sad that in today’s world, rich countries, do not focus more on helping these people find an easier and more profitable way of life. You have traveled to many places around the world, and I’m happy to hear your time spent here was enjoyable and educational! 👏🏆💯😁👍

1:27 I'm pretty sure she was talking in Malagasy *Franc* or FMG (the old currency) and not in Ariary so it's actually cheaper because 1 FMG is worth 1/5 of an Ariary. So it was actually 20,000 FMG => 4,000 Ariary, which is the equivalent of 90 cents, 15,000 FMG => 3,000 Ariary (roughly 70 cents) and 10,000 FMG => 2,000 Ariary (45 cents) I advise any foreigner visiting to ask if it's in Franc or in Ariary or else you'll lose your money. I know it's quite confusing and challenging but that's just how things work here, it's been 20 years since Ariary has become the official currency but Malagasy people just like keeping their habits. Fun fact, we actually use Ariary when speaking in Malagasy but when we start speaking in French, it automatically switches to FMG so be ready to make to mental maths 😂
