  Petrol, is this not unsafe, what happens if some ediot light/throw a still burning cigarette, or even light a match near your feet, well that's you up in smoke.

  Yes! It's very unsafe while it's not dry, this 'glue' is actually how you make "Napalm" and totally illegal to manufacture or store here in the UK and probably many other countries.

  The LEDs are wired in series. By bypassing that dead LED, you've increased the load on the rest. They will soon fail as well. A better idea would be to harvest the good LEDs off a bad bulb. Then use them to properly fix future bad bulbs. But it's not worth it. Those bulbs are a buck apiece.
