Saturday, January 30th 2020, I got my dream car. A 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate with a 6-speed manual transmission. This channel will primarily operate as a biography on the progression of my Genesis Coupe build. I hope my videos serve as a great tool for my viewers. I will do this to mine, let you know when am done.
VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE . MASTERPIECE OF A VIDEO.
Never strip the wires or those crimp connections
Really nicely done video and very informative. You explain everything very well and go into detail.
It's not the factory way
Mine did not came with black wire you de-pinned, but I connect everything else and when I put it in reverse nothing comes on.
Undo the ground
What what gauge size do I use then since you said you had trouble with the 18 gauge quick connectors?
How’s the camera holding up? Are the connections still in good conditions?
Why doesn't it work in 2013?
or 2014 :(
Спасибо за видео....ты супер
Thank you!!
Is that the stock radio?
Great explanation and video. I actually used this to install my Wolfbox G840S mirror backup/dashcam on my daughters 2017 Jeep Compass. The hardest part was trying to fish the cable through that boot that connects the lift gate to the car. Thanks for the video!
How do you release the pins? Is there a way to get a replacement harness end that is easier to lock and release?
Been nice if it was filmed in the correct form. This is picture mode. Video is landscape...I blame stupid apps like tik tok.
What year is yours? I have a 2013. Was missing the black cable you said blocked camera. Setup wouldn’t work. Checked power and was getting steady flow at the camera. Just no connect to the head. Any clue on what the other pins connect to?
I did this already now if i put in new tailights it will still work right?
Hello, 2014 coupe here, any idea what is the size of the fog lights bulb? Thanks
Camera person is not good with a camera. Video was not helpful thanks to unnecessary camera angles and cuts.
Yes it would’ve been very helpful if they showed the part with the tail light
Which wire is to the reverse light? Orange and white? And did you extended the red wire with that extra black wire? Also which black wire is the ground?
Exactly my question!
Wish I would have seen your vid first. I have a 16 gen ultimate as well and I didn't have the wires as well (had to use supplied mon) Thanks to your vid all I have to do is add those wires. Thanks!
Will this work on a 2013 2.0t premium? And also how did u get custom images on ur screen
According to other forums I've read, no. Idk why but you can try.
Oh and you can upload them through the USB port. Then hold the power button to display the images. You can't listen to music while the image is displayed.
You can’t because older than 2014 gens don’t have the capability
Shouldn’t you just fish for the wires to the license plate
You could with other camera types but for the one I chose, you can't.
@@bradleybrenner7948 I see... and I was wrong there is no way to fish for those wires :( I just try this, this past weekend, but it didn't work for me. I spliced into those two Video Signal pin #A2 (green) & Video Ground pin #A3 (pale yellow) which my radio has and i cut pin #A14, I still don't get my screen to jump to that video when i shift to [R]everse. is there more to it???
Check all connections, especially the power from the taillights. I’m not sure if the e-brake will effect it, just throwing that out there to try. Also, pay close attention to the wire pin locations, very close attention.
@@quvanny Did u ever get it to work?
