Meet Juliana and Martín: a bicultural, bilingual couple on a journey to visit every state in the USA and Mexico. Tourist to Local was founded in 2014 to document Juliana's study abroad adventures, and it continued to evolve when she started working on a cruise ship in 2016, where she met Martín. They began documenting their time on the ships and eventually moved together to Martín's home country of Mexico. There, Martín showed Juliana some amazing places she had never heard of before, thanks to his insider knowledge.
After getting married, they moved to the United States, and the roles switched. Juliana started showing Martín some of the amazing spots in the US. Through exploring each other's countries, they gained a deeper understanding of each other.
That’s when they came up with the goal to visit every state in the USA and Mexico. With them as your guides, you’ll discover the must-see spots, some amazing food, and even a little language lesson or two.

The "I ordered tuna" gelato did me in😂😂
Ahhh Juliana I love travel romance books too! Thanks for sharing with us you both! Loving this Argentina series. Thanks for showing us Eva Peron's grave, I have been so interested in learning about her since the movie Evita came out!
I loved this series! You guys should come to Sonora. It’s mostly arid desert but the food and people are amazing. I recommend going to Hermosillo and some of the coastal towns. 👌🏽
Should have found your way down to Newport.
Great video guys ! 😃 I love Buenos Aires I hope to visit one day 🤞🏼
Thank you so much! We hope you get to visit too!
Cons: Fake.
I've put Campeche on My list for 2024.
Estupendo! Just discovered your channel as I'm considering visiting Tulum for the 1st time, and already love what I see through your and your hermana's eyes and recommendations. Muchas gracias!
Bring your Pooper Scooper and a bag. You'll need them.
This is all you would need from a girl, is this angelic personality! Unfortunately in Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 its not that charming as it might seem 😅. Very lovely genuine couple, partners in crime! ❤🎉
Hi! Do you happen to remember your seat numbers please? Purchasing tickets online don't really convey which side is "right of the conductor" and when you call them they don't seem to know how to direct you on the web.
id recommend taking your own car and Nice truck down to Tijuana! they love that there...
until you get robbed and smoked!
love this! <3
What a fun series, and it must have been such a cool study abroad experience! I lived in Chile for two years after college, and we spent a few wonderful weekends in Buenos Aires. It was so much fun.
My students love your videos. It's a great way to share my favorite places to travel. Have you guys tried the Tren Maya yet? I'd love to get your review before my next trip to Yucatan. Gracias from Atlanta
Tenochtitlan did not feed the empire. The empire fed Tenochtitlan. HUGE difference.
Thanks a lot guys!
You make this city look wonderful! The food, the markets, that bookstore! With all of the dogs around, you must miss Napa. Thanks for another great video!
It was soooo hard to be away from Napa during this trip 😭 but luckily we have a fun road trip coming up with her 🐶❤️ thanks for watching!!!
Hey, great video! I'm taking my dream vacation: 2-week Fall trip in New England October 2024 to Vermont and New Hampshire! I've done soooo much planning and research to hopefully time the fall foliage just right! I am glad I didn't go in 2023 because I heard it wasn't a great year! I'm hoping this year will be much better! What dates did you guys go to Stowe, and also the Kanc? I'll be around Stowe VT between the first/second week of Oct. and I'm driving the Kanc in the second week of Oct.!
livin da life
We feel so lucky!!
@@TouristtoLocal i know the vibe

Thanks for watching!
Okay Juliana, I just finished watching the whole video and you mentioned that you guys are going to Brazil. Since I am from there , my recommendation is be careful with crime . Especially in the big cities like Rio de Janeiro. Be careful with your belongings, especially phones, cameras and wallet. I wish you will have good stay in Brazil.
Thank you so much for looking out for us! We can’t wait to share our experience in Salvador. We’ve already finished filming and we think you will LOVE IT!!
Just Awesome...❤😊🎉 First Commenter...😊
Thanks for being so quick to watch! Glad you enjoyed!!

Absolutely Fabulous.
I’m very proud to say I was born there my dear “pluviosilla”
SUCH a great video! Merida is my #1 consideration for Mexico; Campeche is up there but digiNomad, may be better for weekend, vis a vis interwebs connect?
"place d'armes" was also a very important square in the french speaking world . ( Montreal, Canada, Port Louis, Mauritius, Paris France , Cap haïtien, Haiti)
Wife and I have visited Querataro and looking to visit Puebla. What would y'all say are the complements/cons comparing to each other?
No toda la artesanía .yo tallo arte en madera ,réplicas de estelas o estatuas mayas .pero es cierto mucha artesanía que se vende no se hace a manno y no lo hacen ahí
“Mexico is nice…and it’s also addictive” 😂❤absolutely!! Ty for the video, we are driving for the first time in a few months so it was helpful to see this
