audio sucks balls
It’s there. That was his first solo pass. 2:40 in the video. It was getting dark, it wasn’t as clear as his first pass at Thunder Valley.
I take it you didnt film the pass where he kicked my canyons azz?
I was under the impression that 460 in a fox meant power booster had to go. Can you explain what you have there?
@@tobysirus4996 The engine was in it when I got it. Really tight fit. I have no idea how it fit. No hood scoop either. I sold it a long time ago.
Hypereutectic on a boosted engine?
I was looking for something else for my 99 400ex and I stumbled onto this video. Great information.
I wish you would have showed where that bolt is to loosen the front eccentric, i have a 1997 Scrambler 4x4 im rebuilding and im throwing all new chains on it but i cant seem to get them both on at the same time. The rear and middle chains were no problem but the front and middle wont play nice together, lol. I loosened the middle eccentric and with some blaster it was moving by hand in minutes. Thats strange for a Pennsylvania vehicle. I figured it would be solid rust. I think it was someones garage kept baby for a long time, but whoever had it recently hasnt replaced jack in a long time. I shouldnt have paid 1500 for it but i didnt know it needed everything. Im about to do the swingarm bushings and brakes and hub bearings next and i believe it will be done. Ive done quite a bit to it. Im anxious. I bought my daughter a 2000 trail boss for her birthday so we can ride together and it was good to go, i wish the scrammy would have been but those are usually more beat on. I like your videos. If you can please make a quick video about how to adjust the front chain on a Polaris or even try to explain it here id be grateful. I believe they quit using chain drive front ends in 98 so not alot of info online about it. Your video here is all i found about it. Thanks again for the videos. Update: i watched this video with my brightness turned up all the way, now i see the bolt you were talking about for the front eccentric. Thanks for making this. Its the only video on the internet about the front eccentric on older polaris atvs.
Nice video man thanks! I bought a whole new head after my stock one stripped and now the oem one had two stripped, I’m gonna do this when I go on days off thank you!!
I installed the ZZP headers they are more expensive , but not too bad with their military discount and overall a better header and it fits better. Ditched the EGR valve and deleted it. Ran into the same problem with the dip stick tube. Had to go to the junk yard to get 2 dipstick tubes and finally got one to fit with a little heat in the vice and twisting and turning. They been on now about 4 years and no problems. Initially had the short stack IC with a 3.2 pulley but was still getting some KR while running it hard and went with the Stage 2 IC and no KR now. I think ZZP is phasing out their 3800 platform. They are not restocking many parts when their stock runs out. Recently went to buy 40# Siemens injectors and they are out and have no plans to restock them, tried to sell me 80# but that was overkill so went to Intense Racing and got them
$1100 for the ZZP headers now vs $170 for the Speed Daddy. I know they aren’t good, but I have fixed the rear one and put the flex pipe on V-bands for east replacement. ZZP is still making most 3800 parts, but you are right. Not as many as they used to. I was able to get what I needed for an engine build. They are lacking in transmission options for higher horsepower builds though.
Did not exspect that.
It’s been almost 3 months and he hasn’t answered my calls or emails. Haven’t received any updates since I sent the money. Not sure what to do yet.
Contact the Ohio Attorney General.
@@Mudford I filed a complaint today with the Attorney General, will see how this goes.
Nice!!! Great job!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Any part number on the piston O-ring?
Amen for your video
I have a question when he cut the grey wire what do u do with the other piece of the gray wire that was cut . ???
Curious how this held up 2 years later. I fixed mine 3 years ago and am leaking again. I did not use the RTV last time.
Larger pulley on the motor will slow it down .(I'm sure you figured that out by now )
Did it break the wolfs arm ?
Good first lap. Good pace. Took me a while to catch you. Thank you for the pass at 14:06
looking to upgrade front brakes on my GS. what is new rotor size? Or are they the same. Thxs & keep making Vids!
They are a little bigger. Perfect for the 16” stock rims. Nothing bigger will fit with them.
Like a dumbass I took mine apart in the yard where it broke down and lost the needle somewhere in the yard I mowed the grass by hand pulling the grass out and could not find it so therefore no mower for me I suppose I'm going to have to pull all the grass out by hand thank you for the video it was not clear when you put the needle back in it was off camera therefore when I do find mine I'm going to try and pay attention to put it in correctly the first time if not I suppose I'll be taking apart yet again
What is the lineup for the cam on the timing
Nice video thanks
I have a 2008 chevy equinox and it started doing the same humming noise, So can I just pull the Abs motor fuse and use my car safely until the new part arrives? thanks
Can you post the link where you ordered the new motor? I’d like to order one.

What a gorgeous creature~
Did you mill down the valve guides? I believe the xpz cam requires it
My machine shop took care of that. I gave them all of the cam information from ZZP when I gave them the heads. They checked for straightness and ground the seats for the bigger valves, also.
Cheers for making the video :) Hi from England.
Where is your coolant tank?
It’s on the passenger side on this car.
Why use stock push rods if you're beefing the rest? You're asking for problems the 1st time you put power to the wheels.
Good call. I am measuring for pushrods. Ordering ZZP rocker arms today.
I'm about ready to drop my 460 in my 86 GT. But I prefer to connect the transmission to the motor first and then drop it in.
Bro. This is badass. Did you do a bore or stroke it? What compression is it gunna come out to? . Props dude ive always loved 3800s
Stock bore and stroke. I’m just doing cam and head work and upgrading to a Gen 5 Supercharger. I just wanted to make sure the bottom end was good. Going with all ARP fasteners since I’ve got it apart.
Why not use a 4.3 block?
Because this is for a FWD setup. And ZZPerformance has a ton of high performance parts for 3800’s
When i had a 01 regal i dreamed of doing this with my engine.
This is going in a 99 Regal
I have a 2001 regal with the series 2 3800! My engine is in good shape too. I’m gonna have to watch this channel
It’s missing two cylinders
It will make some good HP numbers for a V6. Any higher and I won’t be able to keep a transmission together. I enjoy having a sleeper car. Most people don’t suspect how fast it really is.
@Mudford a TH400 will hold whatever that 3800 can give it. Boosted or not
@@tonyblackburn5002 My transmission is a 4T65E. This is in a FWD Regal.
Im about to do this same inner & outter bearing replacement on my 300 4x4 next weekend. This video is very helpful.
Big fan in what you have done with this project. Thank you for taking the time to make all your videos. Very helpful. I do have a question? Are you still running the 2.8 pulley or had to switch to 3.0 for that Gen V swap . Also how are you with kr?
Still running the 2.8. No problem with KR with my combo. E-85 and the intercooler help a lot.
Thanks for the info.
When You don*t have the vacuum, does it blow cold air (which is cooled from the AC) to the wind shield? Is there a diagram incl. the cable colors for the "air selector switch" available and when Yes, where? M.
If you were to hook it up too the wrong wire in the back of the fuse box would the car start or would it most likely not start?
Best of Luck to you for Rocky Mountain Raceweek!
ha ha ha I did the same thing with the jet!🥴
Now it just needs a turbo to go with it!
Not this one. The next one will be turbocharged.
Nice!
I ordered a complete northstar conversion kit for $350. This guy sat on it pending the order for 2 weeks till I contacted my bank and opened a dispute. 30 mins later he emails me with an update that it is being shipped. It arrived missing the wire harnesses. I ask for them to be shipped. No reply. So I got a used throttle body and maf with an adapter for $350 that I had to fight with the bank to make progress on the order and missing the vital wire harness converter plugs. Hardly complete. But I do have a custom milled milzy throttle cable bracket with it. Never again.
What size battery?
Another bad cameraman, he missed most of the action. Rookie.
Wow you are amazing! 😅😅😂😂😂😢😢😢😢😢
that Cooler in the picture you show said cooler and guard I would have contacted them and asked wheres my guard, Maybe you can help me I have a 400 ex and I put a 440 big bore kit on it runs good and when I put 1.9 quarts oil in it don't read on my dip stick. the only way it reads is if I put in 3 1/2 quarts but it starts to spit it out the breather tube, do you know why it don't read correct with the right amount of oil in the tank, thanks for any help.
Next build a covered wagon and cross vountry!!
