For this technique, you don't need to spread the inks with alcohol, right? Are the plastic sheets totally washable with alcohol and paper towel? The pens that you're using are acrylic ink pens? As you can tell, I'm brand new to alcohol ink painting.

It's a first for me to learn to do flowers and learn a new wst to use this medium. I used different ink from the alcohol and paint my son used to paint his favourite games he play each friday evening at a games play store with his brother and friend. I only used alcohol at my art classes for few minutes when I had time at my 2 classes. Thk you to share your artist skills

So pleased I happened to come across your message this morning. 😊 I'm feeling inspired! Haven't touched alcohol ink for a couple of years (focusing on other mediums at the moment), but I do have several 'treasures' that I kept and set aside. I plan to pull them out over the weekend and see if I can reanimate them.

I followed along with your tutorial with the hope of improving my brush work with alcohol inks. It turned out beautifully and I am so happy with it! Thank you for your excellent descriptions and explanations; it was clear and easy to follow and best of all you didn’t speed up your video; so many other tutorials are sped up so fast that one has no chance of actually learning how it’s done. Thank you!!

Beautiful creations, thank you for all these tips. Do you put a product over your creation to protect it once you're done?
@AlcoholInkArtCommunity4 ай бұрын
Yes I do! Krylon UV Archival Spray takes care of both sealing the ink and uv protection. Other products will reactivate the ink and it will move.

What would happen if you put the alcohol in the well of the airbrush?
@AlcoholInkArtCommunity5 ай бұрын
Not sure. LOL. I would never try that way because you are vaporizing the alcohol ink, which makes the fumes and organic vapors worse.

Do you need to seal the title after done, to protect it? If so, what do you use?
@AlcoholInkArtCommunity5 ай бұрын
Yes. Seal with Kamar Varnish or Krylon UV Archival. These two products are specifically needed to "fix" the ink.

I'm new at this and watching these videos to learn different techniques. I'll be honest and tell you this one was sped up way too fast for someone just learning. I loved the finished product and would love to try it myself but I need a slower video. Has the Alcohol Ink Community posted any other videos on this particular technique? I don't understand the two plastic sheets of paper and whether they are even the same. One looked glossy while the other looked clear.

I'm actually new at this and currently watching lots of videos in order to learn the supplies I will need. What type of pens were you using to draw the layout of the wreath? I have some alcohol based blendable markers from ArtSkills, are they the same as what you used? Also, what type of pen did you use to take out the ink for the berries? Great Video. Thanks.
