Finally a video where it is spelled correctly - "promontory" instead of "promentory". Apparently it is spelled incorrectly on the tracklist of the CD with the original soundtrack, that's where all the spelling mistakes originate.

Remember watching the movie for the first time, having a MAJOR crush on Uncas and bawling at the end of the film. Plus it's one of the most intense endings in my opinion and a wonderful love story between FL and ML. And let's not forget one of the most iconic villains ever brought to life by Wes Study.

One of my favourite films of all time - as an Irish person who sees history, not only as a memory of the past, but as a constant reminder of how we got to the present - I see my history, the Native American and the Palestinians past and so many other cultures in this modern world, as a never ending reactionary movement against the erosion of an ancient world that is being destroyed forever unless we wake up to the greed that commodifies us all. A greed that sells our land, resources and culture as if it's a part of Disneyland.
